Join us from 1pm Today........

Join us from 1pm (GMT) this afternoon, as we bring you all the action from the EPT London. We will be live from the floor of the Grosvenor Victoria Casino bringing you all the live updates, including up-to-date chip counts, our Live Reporting Blog and photos from the course of play.

Stay tuned.......

Good afternoon from London

We're looking at a probable start time of between 13:45 and 14:00 today as we don't seem to be near ready to start just yet. We're expecting a field of around the 400 mark split into two starting days.

At the EPT party last night Pokerstars took us for a boat ride along the Thames where we bumped into Chris Moneymaker, Daniel Negreanu, Luca Pagano, Katja Thater, Noah Boeken, and WSOP main event star Hevad 'Rain' Khan to name just a few.

We will have table draws and news from the floor shortly.

Rain Stopped Play

I have just made the epic journey between the press room here at the Vic and the tournament area, If I get lost on my next trip please tell my family I love them! It does not look like we will be starting anytime before 2PM GMT so bear with us. A quick scan of the card room I can see Katja Thather, Jimmy Gobboboy Fricke, Jeff Lisandro, Brandon Adams, Andreas Hoivold, Jeff Kimber, Marc Goodwin, Dario Mineri and Donnacha ODea. So a good mix of young superstars and old school professionals for the main event.

Lost one!

Play gets underway at 13:45 and a only minutes latter be are bidding farewell to our first player. The unlucky player is Dutchman Michiel Brummelhuis, who commits all his chips with the middle set of eights only to see his opponent turn over top set kings.

Liam Flood Gets an Early Double-Up

Liam Flood
Couldn't get the hand info but the "The Gentleman" is on over 20,000 chips very early. Two players have been busted from his table inside the first 15 minutes.

Among today's starters so far I've seen Willie Tann, Johnny Lodden, as well as former EPT champions Andreas Hoivold and Mats Iremark. I don't see any clashes between big names just yet but Jani Vilmunen has been getting very chatty on his table with Dave "The Devilfish" Ulliott.

Also....

...Irish Open champion Marty Smyth has appeared two to the right of Johnny Lodden. Some more Irish players -- Donnacha O'Dea, Sylvester Geoghan, and Eoghan Lyons -- have also made the trip across the water. Roy Brindley, however, could possibly have been an early casualty as he appears on the Day 1A starting list but is currently watching the action from the rail.

Some More Early Matchups

Roy Brindley is definitely not out. He just decided not to play a hand for most of the first level. He has taken a seat on Andreas Hoivold's table.

Also, 2006 London champion Victoria Coren has been drawn two to the left of Barny Boatman.
