Youssefian Doubles The Hard Way

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Arin Youssefian called a shove in the big blind against the small blind's open shove and both hands were tabled.

Arin Youssefian: {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}
Small Blind: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

The flop came down {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{5-Spades} which gave Youssefian bottom set, but the turn of the {k-Hearts} gave his opponent the nut straight as well as a royal flush draw.

The only outs Youssefian had were the board pairing outs and luckily for him, the river came a {q-Clubs} and he made fives full of queens to get the double.

Gity Busts to Zhang

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Tom Gity, a retired marketing executive in Florida making his first WSOP cash, just busted to Mark Zhang on a cruel turn card.

Gity raised to 36,000 from the cutoff and Zhang called from the small blind.

On the {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop, Zhang check-called a 57,000 bet from Gity.

The turn brought the {j-Spades}. Zhang again checked and snap-called when Gity moved all in.

Gity showed {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}, but Zhang had made trips with {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}.

The {3-Hearts} came on the river and Gity's tournament came to an end.

Shaun Deeb

On a board reading {6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{k-Spades}, Shaun Deeb called a bet in the big blind of 25,000 from his opponent in the small blind.

The turn came a {6-Diamonds} and the small blind player bet 50,000. After a good 30-seconds of thinking, Deeb announced he was all in for an additional 120,000.

The small blind went into the tank for at least a minute, but ultimately decided on folding, giving Deeb the pot.

Another Bad Runout Sends Platt Home

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Britton Purvis continued his run up the chip counts by cracking a set to bust Jeff Platt

Platt was all in with {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and was called by Purvis with {a-Spades}{q-Spades}.

The {8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{k-Spades} flop gave Platt a set but Purvis picked up the nut flush draw.
