No Flip for Avramidis

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Joep van den Bijgaart raised to 45,000 with the {A-Spades}{10-Hearts} and the action folded to Makarios Avramidis in the big blind. The Greek, one of the two shortest stacks, peeked at the {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and elected to fold and not take the coin flip.

Avramidis also forfeited his small blind the next hand against a raise by Donald Rae, the Brit had picked up {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} in under the gun and won the blinds and antes.

Van den Bijgaart Folds the Best Hand

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Donald Rae raised to 45,000 from early position with the {Q-Spades}{10-Spades} and Joep van den Bijgaart three-bet to 108,000 from one seat over, holding {A-Spades}{J-Spades}.

Rae called and they checked down the {3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop and the {8-Diamonds} turn. Rae then bet the {4-Hearts} river for 152,000 and that enforced a fold from van den Bijgaart with the better hand.
