Van Brugge Folds the Turn

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Jussi Nevanlinna raised to 55,000 from the small blind and Kees van Brugge called in the big blind with {A-Spades}{8-Spades}. Nevanlinna missed the flop {6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{J-Hearts} with his {10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} but that didn't stop him from making a continuation bet.

Nevanlinna also fired the {K-Diamonds} turn and this time van Brugge folded.

Guessing Cards with Avramidis

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Makarios Avramidis raised and picked up one caller in Jussi Nevanlinna out of the big blind. The Finn held {K-Clubs}{10-Spades} and found second pair on the {9-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{10-Hearts} flop. Nevanlinna check-called a first barrel and checked again the {Q-Clubs} turn.

Avramidis now fired 74,000 and that won the hand without any further action.

Top Two for Tjauw Foe

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Jussi Nevanlinna raised to 45,000 with the {K-Hearts}{10-Spades} and Clyde Tjauw Foe flat-called in the small blind with {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}, Donald Rae also filled up in the big blind with {Q-Spades}{5-Spades}. On the flop {A-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{8-Diamonds}, Tjauw Foe and Rae checked and Nevanlinna continued for 65,000.

Tjauw Foe check-raised to 160,000 and shut down all further action.

The next hand the Dutchman raised the button with {A-Hearts}{8-Spades} and won the blinds and antes, showing his hand. Nevanlinna glanced over and asked "same hand twice?" - nice read.

The Power of Chips

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Donald Rae opened to 45,000 from under the gun with the {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and Georgios Zisimopoulos three-bet to 110,000 on the button with {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. Rae opted for a four-bet to 240,000 and the Greek indeed folded his pocket tens.

After the end of the hand, the players headed into a quick break as the introduction of the Pot-Limit Omaha Event with the usual techno music in the Holland Casino took place.

Johnny Hansen Eliminated in 8th Place (€34,571)

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Jussi Nevanlinna raised to 45,000 from the cutoff and the action reached Johnny Hansen in two seats over, who moved all in for 294,000. All other opponents folded and Nevanlinna called.

Hansen: {A-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Nevanlinna: {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}

The flop {3-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Spades} was no good for the Dane but he had the back door nut flush draw. A {10-Hearts} turn left him drawing to three eights only and the {6-Spades} river then bricked to send Hansen to the rail in 8th place.

Zisimopoulos vs Nevanlinna

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Georgios Zisimopoulos raised to 45,000 with the {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and Makarios Avramidis folded {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} according to the live stream. Jussi Nevanlinna flat-called on the button with {A-Spades}{9-Spades} and the duo checked the flop {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{2-Hearts}. On the {7-Clubs} turn, Nevanlinna bet 54,000 and was called before the {7-Hearts} river killed all further action.

Zisimopoulos took down the pot with two pair, tens and nines.

One hand later, Nevanlinna raised from the cutoff and Zisimopoulos called in the big blind. The Greek check-called a continuation bet on the flop {3-Hearts}{J-Spades}{9-Hearts} with {A-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} for ace-high, Nevanlinna was bluffing with {K-Spades}{7-Spades}. The {2-Hearts} turn got checked through and Zisimopoulos bet the {8-Clubs} river for 115,000 to win the pot uncontested.

Clyde Tjauw Foe raised to 45,000 from the cutoff with the {A-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Jussi Nevanlinna defended his big blind with {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}. The flop came {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}{10-Spades} and Nevanlinna check-raised from 30,000 to 80,000. Tjauw Foe called with his ace-high and did so on the {4-Diamonds} turn when the Finn had been leading for 75,000.

Both players then checked the {3-Hearts} river and the ace-high won the pot for Tjauw Foe.
