Mateos Left With Crumbs Before Break

Level 10 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Picking action up with about 70,000 in the middle on a completed board of {3-Clubs}{a-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{q-Spades}, Adrian Mateos moved all in from the small blind for 57,000 and got quickly called by Thomas Muehloecker in the big blind with a comparable stack.

Mateos showed {j-Hearts}{10-Spades} for a failed bluff as Muehloecker showed {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for a winning two pair.

Mateos left the tournament area thinking he was eliminated, but he was chased down by tournament staff to let him know that he still has 1,500 remaining to return from break to.

Vieira Shoves on Mateos

Level 10 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Joao Vieira opened to 8,000 in the cutoff and Adrian Mateos called from the big blind. The flop fell {10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and Mateos checked to Vieira who bet 15,000. Mateos check-raised to 45,000 and Vieira called.

The turn brought the {5-Hearts} and Mateos used a time bank before tossing in a bet of 40,000. Vieira raised to 200,000, putting Mateos to the test for his remaining stack. However, Mateos quickly folded and Vieira raked in the chips.

Kayhan Mokri: {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

The flop solidified the hand for Orpaz immediately as it came {10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, bringing him a set of tens.

The board completed with the {q-Hearts} and {a-Clubs} to lock up the double for Orpaz, while Mokri finally took a notable hit to his growing stack.

Mattsson Goes Back and Forth to Bust Heath

Level 10 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Ben Heath
Ben Heath

Simon Mattsson raised to 9,000 under the gun and was met with an all-in from Ben Heath in the small blind for approximately 70,000. Mattsson made the call and was in great shape to start.

Ben Heath: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Simon Mattsson: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

Mattsson's ace was in a dominant position but after the {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop, Heath had paired his kicker to take the lead.

Mattsson had picked up a gutshot straight draw though, and while the {2-Hearts} on the turn changed nothing, the {j-Hearts} on the river filled Mattsson's straight to give him the win and send Heath to the rail.

Mattsson Wins with Jack-High

Level 10 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Simon Mattsson

The action folded to Simon Mattsson in the small blind who made it 11,000 to go. Felipe Ketzer called from the big blind and the dealer spread the flop of {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}.

Mattsson continued with a bet of 5,500 and Ketzer raised to 13,000. Mattsson called and the {a-Hearts} paired the board on the turn. Both players checked and the {3-Hearts} completed the board.

Mattsson checked again and Ketzer opted to check it back. Mattsson rolled over {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a missed straight draw and Ketzer grinned as he looked back at his cards.

"Win?" Mattsson questioned to which Ketzer nodded, sending his cards to the muck.

Davies Doubles, Lin and Others Eliminated Again

Level 10 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Seth Davies
Seth Davies

With approximately 22,000 in the middle on a flop of {j-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, Juan Pardo checked from the big blind to Seth Davies in the hijack who bet 15,000. Ren Lin then moved all in from the cutoff for 83,000. Pardo went into the tank, using a time bank before opting to fold.

Back on Davies, he called for less with 61,500 more behind.

Seth Davies: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Ren Lin: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}

Lin had run into a cooler with his kings versus Davies' aces and after the {2-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} runout, he was left with crumbs that were scooped up shortly after, ending his day for good.

Meanwhile, at an adjacent table, Stephen Chidwick gathered his belongings and left the floor with no more chips at his table, though he does have a reentry available.

Jean-Noel Thorel was also eliminated but is done for the day.
