Chidwick Fails to Connect

Level 12 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

The action folded to Stephen Chidwick in the cutoff who shipped all in for his last 21,000. Both Nick Petrangelo and Sam Grafton called from the blinds.

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and both of the blinds checked to the {a-Spades} on the turn. Petrangelo led out with a bet of 17,000 and Grafton quickly mucked. Petrangelo showed {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} while Chidwick needed to catch up with {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.

The river was the {2-Clubs} and Chidwick failed to connect as he was bounced from the tournament.

Mokri's Mighty Stack Shrinking

Level 12 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Kayhan Mokri
Kayhan Mokri

Since returning from the last break, Kayhan Mokri has seen his stack shrink to half its size including a couple of recent hands.

After a preflop raising war on the button versus Tom Orpaz in the small blind, over 100,000 was in the middle before Orpaz bet 50,000 on a flop of {k-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{5-Spades}, which got a fold from Mokri.

Shortly after, Mokri raised to 12,000 in the hijack and was called by Orpaz in the cutoff before Niklas Astedt moved all in for 188,000 in the big blind.

Both opponents folded and Mokri's stack had taken another small hit.

Felipe Ketzer
Felipe Ketzer

Simon Mattsson raised to 10,000 in middle position and Felipe Ketzer shoved all in for around 55,000 in the cutoff. The action folded back to Mattson who flicked in a chip to signify a call.

Felipe Ketzer: {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Simon Mattsson: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Mattsson held the better of the two ace-highs and the board of {k-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Spades} couldn't help Ketzer who was eliminated.
