Soika Busts to Rudoy

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

In a battle of the blinds, Ihar Soika raised to 8,000 from the small blind and Mikhail Rudoy called in the big blind.

Soika bet all three streets going forward: 9,000 on the {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop, 18,000 on the {K-Hearts} turn and all in for 40,000 on the {3-Diamonds} river. Rudoy called each bet and Soika turned over {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} for a busted straight and flush draw. Rudoy had {10-Spades}{5-Spades} for flopped two pair and almost doubled up his stack after re-entering not long ago.

From under the gun plus one, Paul Newey opened for 6,500. His neighbor Vojtech Ruzicka in the hijack called. Niklas Hambitzer in the cutoff then shoved for 58,000 and action folded to Ivan Gabrieli in the big blind. The Italian announced all-in too and both Newey and Ruzicka folded.

Ivan Gabrieli: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Niklas Hambitzer: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades}{7-Hearts} and Hambitzer exited the tournament area.

Up to 79 Entries

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Mustapha Kanit, Mikhail Rudoy, Jean-Noel Thorel and Igor Kurganov all opted to fire a second bullet and that brought the number of re-entries up to 11. The total field size has been bumped up to 79, which is just one short of last year's attendance. The late registration remains open till the start of level 9 in a little over an hour.

Sammartino Loses Flip to Troyanovskiy

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

From the hijack, Dario Sammartino announced all in and tossed forward his remaining few T-5,000 chips. The shove amounted to around 55,000 in total and Vladimir Troyanovskiy grabbed a full stack and announced a reraise to more than 120,000. The rest of the table folded and the cards were tabled.

Dario Sammartino: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Vladimir Troyanovskiy: {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}

The board came {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Troyanovskiy paired up on the flop to eliminate Sammartino.

Thorel Eliminated For Now

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Mikhail Rudoy, Paul Newey, Igor Kurganov and Jean-Noel Thorel have been eliminated. Thorel attempted a bluff with king-high just a few minutes ago to see David Peters call with queen-five and second pair on an ace-high board.

Soon after, Julian Stuer raised and then called the shove of Thorel for 55,000 from one seat over. Thorel had {A-}{8-} and Stuer the {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}. The board ran out {Q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and the kicker played. Thorel as well as all other players that busted on their first bullet can still enter again for the second time until the start of Level 9.

Ruzicka Loves the Rivers

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Oleg Titov raised from the button, Vojtech Ruzicka shoved for 79,000 from the small blind and Titov called.

Vojtech Ruzicka: {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
Oleg Titov: {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

The board ran out {A-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Ruzicka rivered a straight. "Without the river I would be out in the first level. I hit the river three times in the 50k," Ruzicka joked after all was done and dusted.

Mateos Doubles Through Uspenskiy

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

As we arrived, the chips were already in the middle in a hand between Konstantin Uspenskiy (under the gun) and Adrian Mateos (cutoff).

Konstantin Uspenskiy: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Adrian Mateos: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}

Again Mateos flopped top set, but again he wasn't in the clear just yet: {Q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{10-Clubs}. The {9-Diamonds} on the turn and {4-Spades} on the river were blanks however, and Mateos doubled his 107,000-stack.
