Dvoress Busts to Kitai

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Daniel Dvoress
Daniel Dvoress

Daniel Dvoress defended his big blind against the under-the-gun raise of Davidi Kitai and then shoved a flop of {9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Spades} for his last 18,500. Kitai called to put the Canadian at risk.

Daniel Dvoress: {6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Davidi Kitai: {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

The {8-Clubs} on the turn instantly completed a straight for Kitai, and the {10-Spades} on the river changed nothing to see Dvoress join the rail. "Can I re-enter here or do I have to go down?" he asked tournament staff, so it seems very likely that Dvoress will be back in action soon on his second bullet.

The Last Level to Enter

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Among those to bust at the start of the level were Sergey Lebedev, Jean-Noel Thorel on his second bullet and EPT13 Malta champion Aliaksei Boika. Justin Bonomo took advantage of the single re-entry and bought back in, though players can only do so in the current level and 20-minute break after.

Greenwood Doubles Through Schemion

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

A big pot emerged between Ole Schemion in the cutoff and Sam Greenwood in the small blind. The latter bet the {J-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop for 34,000 and Schemion moved all in, Greenwood called all in for 104,000.

Sam Greenwood: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Ole Schemion: {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

The {3-Clubs} turn and {A-Hearts} river changed nothing and Greenwood took a decent portion of Schemion's stack.

Aldemir Busts Kurganov

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Koray Aldemir
Koray Aldemir

The board was still showing {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and a massive pot was shipped to Koray Aldemir while Ivan Gabrieli jumped out of his seat and Igor Kurganov had to leave his seat after being eliminated.

According to Aldemir, he raised to 9,000 and both Gabrieli and Kurganov called. The trio checked the flop and Kurganov also checked the turn.

Aldemir bet 18,500 and both opponents called before the river was then checked to Gabrieli. The Italian bet 42,000, Kurganov shoved for around 90,000 and Aldemir called, Gabrieli folded.

Kurganov flashed {K-}{9-} and Aldemir had the {K-Hearts}{10-Spades} for the flopped nut full house.

Kisacikoglu Eliminated by Badziakouski

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

A short-stacked Orpen Kisacikoglu shoved for his last 34,000 from the cutoff and Mikita Badziakouski reshoved from the button to force folds from the blinds.

Kisacikoglu opened the {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and stood no chance against Badziakouski's {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} on a board of {A-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}.

Zinno's Bluff Fails

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Juha Helppi opened the cutoff for 10,000 and called Anthony Zinno's small blind three-bet to 35,000. Both checked the {3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{9-Spades}-flop before the {10-Spades} hit the turn. Zinno bet 30,000 and Helppi called.

The {4-Diamonds} completed the board and Zinno bet 45,000. Helppi, with about 70,000 or so behind at this point, sighed and tanked for a bit before he called. Zinno showed {Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}, Helppi took it down with the {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}.

One table over, Max Silver sat down. With Silver now in, the total amount of entries is up to 80, the same as last year.

Fatehi Busts to Aido

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Ali Reza Fatehi
Ali Reza Fatehi

Just one hand ago, Ali Reza Fatehi three-bet shoved into a raise by Juha Helppi and got through with it. That would not be the case when he did so again from the cutoff for around 80,000 right after, as initial raiser and big stack Sergio Aido snap-called.

Ali Reza Fatehi: {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}
Sergio Aido: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}

The flop of {Q-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs} left Fatehi in desperate shape, and it was all over after the {7-Hearts} turn as Aido had an unbeatable full house. A meaningless {8-Hearts} on the river completed the board and Aido became the first player above half a million in chips.
