Day 33 at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) was another four bracelet day!

Elie Nakache put on an impressive heads-up display to win Event #68: $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship. He beat Joshua Adkins in a one-sided duel that resulted in Adkins leaving in second and Nakache taking home $1,320,945 and the WSOP bracelet.

Ben Collins took down the bracelet for Event #67: $500 Salute to Warriors No-Limit Holdem. Collins won $207,486 for his win and the event raised $180,680 for U.S. veterans' organizations after getting 4,517 entries.

Event #68: $2,500 No-Limit Hold'em made Colin Robinson very happy. Robinson got a second-place finish in the Monster Stack last year and had a bad start to Day 3 of this event. So, he was relieved when he managed to take this one all the way home. He earned $667,963 and his first bracelet in the process.

Last, but not least, Event #69: $1,500 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better went to Nikolay Fal who won $153,730 for his victory over a tough final table that included Joey Couden and Yuval Bronshtein.

Elsewhere at the series, Gus Hansen entered the PLO High Roller; Kerstetter, Shahade, and Spragg bagged Day 2 of the Ladies Event; and the 2-7 Triple Draw Championship condensed to a final nine with 25 bracelets and a hall of fame spot between them.

One of those survivors, Lisa Tan (1,680,000), took over as the new chip leader ousting Day 1a chip leader Dohang Na (1,659,000) who is now in second.

Tan was just the most successful survivor of a group that includes Craig Chait (811,000), David Bach (415,000), David "ODB" Baker (172,000), Barry Greenstein (154,000), and Prahlad Friedman (118,000) all of whom will be returning on Day 2.

Day 1c will be the last Day 1 flight and begins at 10 a.m. on June 30.

Jamie Kerstetter
Jamie Kerstetter is sixth in chips.

With 36 players left in Event #71: $1,000 Ladies No-Limit Hold'em, last year's runner-up Shiina Okamoto has the chip lead after Day 2.

Okamoto is closely followed by Cecile Ticherfatine (1,700,000) in second and Andrea Sager (1,485,000) in third. They sit at the top of a tough field of 36 remaining players including Jamie Kerstetter (1,120,000), Nadya Magnus (860,000), Marle Spragg (805,000), and Jennifer Shahade (295,000) all of whom are still in contention.

The original field of 1,245 entries has made for a prize pool of $1,095,600. From this, all of today's survivors are guaranteed at least $4,958. However, they will all have their eyes on the $171,732 up top for first place.

Some notables who cashed today include Ruth Hall, Lacey Jones, Day 1 chip leader Irene Carey, and bracelet winners Jessica Teusl and Leo Margets.

Day 3 kicks off on June 30 at noon local time and will play down to the final five.

Will it be a great summer for Gus Hansen?

Day 1 of Event #73: $25,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha is proving to be massive. There is the turnout of 365 entries and the prize pool of $8,577,500, with both numbers set to grow during the two more levels of late registration still to come on Day 2. Then there is the stature of the competition. Among the 151 players who bagged on Day 1 of the event are some of poker's biggest names.

What to Expect on Day 34 of the 2024 WSOP

Cards, Chips, WSOP Branding 2024
WSOP

Sunday, June 30 will be Day 34 of the 2024 WSOP. Unusually, there is now just one bracelet event scheduled for completion on the day. There is also one new event to kick off and three others that will plough onward.

The new event tomorrow will be Event #74: $10,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship.

The one event you really won't want to miss is the stacked last act of the 2-7 Lowball No Limit Championship. With twenty-five bracelets and a Poker Hall of Fame spot between them, the final nine of this event are headed for what might be the sickest final table of the series so far.

Event #73: $25,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha has also pulled in a ton of the biggest names in poker. Ivey, Negreanu, and Hansen all have bags for Day 2. And with two more levels of late registration to play out, there's still time for more legends to join them.

Originally scheduled to finish on June 30, The Ladies Event event has had a day added to its run, extending the action into July 1. As a result, on June 30, this event will play down to the final five with some big names still in the field and hungry for that bracelet.

The Colossus has one more Day 1 flight to play out Day 1c. After the action on June 30, the field will be finalized and ready to come back for a combined Day 2 on July 1.
