2022 WSOP Day 26: HOF Nominee Liebert's Still Got It, How Foxen Won First Bracelet
On Day 26 at the 2022 World Series of Poker, high-stakes crusher Alex Foxen earned a career-defining victory, while Poker Hall of Fame nominee Kathy Liebert may have taken a step towards induction.
Foxen, the 2018 and 2019 GPI Player of the Year, took down Event #50: $250,000 Super High Roller No-Limit Hold'em for a personal-best $4,563,700, beating out 56 of the best players in the world. In doing so, he won his first WSOP bracelet and scored the biggest and most prestigious win of his already brilliant poker career.
Foxen dominated the final table with consistent, effective aggressive play. On numerous occasions, he used his big stack to bully his short-stacked opponents to perfection. His friend and Chip Leader Coaching partner Chance Kornuth tweeted out his amazement at Foxen's play at the final table.

Liebert Making Case for Poker HOF in Event #47: $1,000 Seniors Championship
Out of the 7,188 entries in Event #47: $1,000 Seniors Championship, only 198 made it through Day 3 and returned to action for Day 4 on Sunday. One of those players is none other than Kathy Liebert, one of the most accomplished female poker pros in history.
The deep run for Liebert couldn't come at a better time. She was nominated along with nine others as a finalist for the 2022 Poker Hall of Fame class. Only one member will be inducted this summer, but a win in the Seniors event would certainly go a long way for the 2004 WSOP bracelet winner.
Play is scheduled to conclude on Monday (Day 5), with one winner taking home $694,909.

An extra day was needed to wrap things up in Event #49: $2,000 No-Limit Hold'em, a bracelet event with 1,977 entrants. On Sunday's Day 4, there will be seven players returning to action all chasing the $527,944 first place prize.
Mike Watson, a talented Canadian poker pro, has a slight chip lead over Daniel Custodio from Portugal. With just 37 big blinds for Watson �� 36 for Custodio �� play should run fast on Day 4.

Event #51: $400 Colossus Cracks 13,000 Entrants
Day 1b �� the second of two starting flights �� wrapped on Sunday with 7,704 entrants, bringing the tournament total to 13,565 when registration closed. All of the 1,684 remaining players returned to Bally's for Day 2. Official payouts and numbers will be announced at some point during the session.
Bruno Politano, Ryan Laplante, and Donnie Peters were among those who bagged monster stacks on Day 1b.

Hellmuth, Negreanu Among Final 24 in Event #52: Nine Game Mix 6-Handed
Day 2 of Event #52: Nine Game Mix 6-Handed wrapped with two poker legends still standing among the final 24 out of 456. Phil Hellmuth and Daniel Negreanu are both chasing a bracelet win for different reasons.
Hellmuth is looking to extend his bracelet record to 17, while Negreanu is attempting to end a nine-year drought without winning a WSOP title. Negreanu is seventh in chips heading into Day 3 (817,000), while the "Poker Brat" is further back at 381,000. David Bach leads the way with 1,591,000. The winner will take home $219,709.

Day 1 of Event #53: $5,000 Mixed No-Limit Hold'em/Pot-Limit Omaha took place on Saturday, and 788 players entered. Only 72 of those individuals made it through to Day 2. When everyone bagged and tagged, Joao Simao left the casino with the chip lead at 1,705,000.
Frank Lagodich finished with the second largest stack (1,530,000), Daniel Hachem was in third place (1,090,000), Joni Jouhkimainen in fourth (1,015,000), and Craig Mason in fifth place (875,000). Bryce Yockey (820,000), David Williams (695,000), Brian Rast (455,000), and Brandon Cantu (315,000) were among the notables advancing to Day 2.
