Today's Day 40 of the 2019 World Series of Poker features three events including a bracelet awarded in the $800 WSOP.com ONLINE No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed.

The Main Event continues with Day 2c with James Henson on top of that flight's leaderboard with Mike McDonald not too far behind in second place.

Besides, the $1,000+111 Little One for One Drop No-Limit Hold'em resumes with the second of its three opening flights.

Here's what's on tap today, in the daily What to Watch For on PokerNews, sponsored by 888poker.

Event #73: $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em MAIN EVENT - World Championship

The Main Event is already guaranteed to be at least the second biggest of all-time with 8,225 entrants. As of now, this is only behind the 8,773 entrants who turned up in 2006 when Jamie Gold won the top prize.

Although it appears unlikely that this year will be bigger than 2006, more players will enter today with late registration for the Main Event closing before the start of today's Day 2c at 11 a.m. when five more blind levels of two hours each will be played.

James Henson (316,100) bagged the most chips on Day 1c and is closely followed by Mike McDonald (306,300), Joshua Ray (304,200), Robert Kokoska (285,000), and Mohamed Mamouni (284,000). 2015 November Niner Tom Cannuli sits in 10th place on the Day 2c leaderboard when play gets underway.

Surviving players today will merge against yesterday's 1,087 Day 2ab survivors led by Timothy Su with 791,000 in chips.

Event #75: $1,000+111 Little One for One Drop No-Limit Hold'em

This event kicks off the second of three opening flights at noon PDT. Players will start with 20,000 in chips and can add another 20,000 with a $111 donations to the One Drop Foundation, an international non-profit organization founded by Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Lalibert that has been providing access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene since 2007.

Today's action features ten blind levels of an hour each with blinds starting at just 100/100.

So far, the field size is behind the pace of the 4,732 entrants from last year when China's Guoliang Wei won the bracelet and the $559,332 top prize with yesterday's Day 1a attracting 702 entrants compared to the 947 a year ago.

There is still plenty of time for this tournament to catch up to last year's tremendous turnout with two more opening days and unlimited reentries allowed until the close of late registration at the end of Level 12 (the second blind level of Tuesday's Day 2.)

A few players bagged more than 400,000 in chips during yesterday's Day 1a including Mark Eddleman (464,600), Schahin Ghiai (409,500), and Mark Agarunov (403,600). Also bagging big in the hunt for his first bracelet was twelve-time WSOP gold ring winner Valentin Vornicu (354,800).
