Manole Pays Failla

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Will Failla opened in the hijack and got action from Mihai Manole in the big blind. Manole check-called 150,000 on the {3-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{10-Spades} flop then the {9-Diamonds} got checked through. Manole checked the {10-Diamonds} river and Failla bet 200,000.

"You got a ten?" Manole asked.

"I don't have a ten," Failla responded.

Manole tanked awhile and called but couldn't beat {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}.

"I never lie about my hand," Failla declared. "Ray, he lies about his hand every street."

Wantman Doubles Through Qartomy

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Matthew Wantman got a three-bet to 300,000 in preflop from the big blind and Ray Qartomy called from early position. We didn't catch the action on the {2-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop but Wantman said he checked and Qartomy shoved, with Wantman quickly calling and showing {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}.

"Nice f****** hand," Qartomy said, flipping over {9-Spades}{8-Spades}.

The board ran {a-Spades}, {7-Spades} and Wantman collected a double worth 1,135,000 with quads.

Hyun Won't Show

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Sung Hyun was in the hijack and bet 185,000 on {9-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs}{k-Spades}. Eric Afriat check-raised to 415,000 out of the big blind and Hyun called. On the {2-Clubs} river, Afriat checked. Hyun bet 935,000.

"He hits everything," Afriat said with a smile. "You turn the nuts?"

Moments later, Afriat folded what he claimed to be a small flush.

"Show me!" Afriat said. "Show me the bluff."

Nothing was shown, though.

Chino Rheem Eliminated in 14th Place ($24,366)

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Chino Rheem
Chino Rheem

Sung Hyun opened to 85,000 under the gun and Chris Moorman called in the next seat. Action folded to Chino Rheem in the big blind and he stuck in 225,000. Both opponents called him and they took in a {2-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop. Rheem continued for 165,000 and Hyun called. Moorman mucked.

On the {3-Hearts} turn, Rheem jammed. it was 480,000 and Hyun dropped in a stack of chips after 30 seconds.

Hyun: {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Rheem: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}

Rheem was in good shape to double but the river brought the {6-Diamonds}.

"Good luck guys," Rheem said.

Moorman said afterward he folded queens because of the spot.

"I never fold queens to Chino ever," he said with a laugh.

Rheem Drops a Three-Bet Pot

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Kevin Song opened in the cutoff to 85,000, Chino Rheem called on the button, and Sung Hyun three-bet to 185,000 in the small blind. Only Rheem continued to the {3-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop. He called a bet of 125,000 then the {6-Spades} turn checked through. Hyun bet 330,000 on the {q-Clubs} river and Rheem gave it up pretty quickly.

Kyung Lee
Kyung Lee

David Polop opened in the hijack for 85,000 and called when Kyung Lee shoved for 375,000 on the button.

Lee: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Polop: {k-Spades}{9-Spades}

Polop was smashed but flopped decent with {8-Spades}{5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}. The {6-Hearts} brought his straight in right away and the {a-Hearts} ended an ugly bustout for Lee.
