Linkenback Takes Multiway Pot

Level 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

A player limped in from under the gun and another player on the button raised to 300. George Linkenback called from the small blind, Barry Greenstein called from the big blind and the limper called as well.

The flop came 10?3?6? and action checked around to the button who bet 600. Linkenback called while the other two players got out of the way.

On the 3? turn Linkenback led out with a bet of 1,600 that was called by his opponent.

Both players checked the 5? river.

The button tabled Q?J?9?9? for a pair of nines while Linkenback showed down K?K?Q?10? for a pair of kings to take the whole pot as neither player had a low.

Poker Author Sklansky Takes a Small One; Big Field Merging

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Famed poker author David Sklansky is in the mix as the number of entries grew past 500.

He limped in from the cutoff before the button made it 400. The big blind called, and Sklansky also came along.

Action checked through to showdown for the final board to read to 2?6?3?A?10?.

The big blind announced "two nines" but actually had a pair of tens with his K?10?9?9?.

Sklansky tabled A?Q?3?2? for aces and tres. The button couldn't turn over a better high hand or show a low and Sklansky took in the pot.

Kessler Takes from Raymer

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

With three players seeing a board of 9?9?3? and 1,700 in the middle, a player in the small blind checked, Allen Kessler checked in the big blind and Greg Raymer bet 700 from the button. Both opponents made the call.

Raymer bet again for 2,500 when checked to on the 4? turn and was once again called by both opponents.

The 2? river brought a possible low. The small blind checked, Kessler made a pot-sized bet of 11,300 and both Raymer and the small blind opted to fold.

Weisman Gets Active

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Dylan Weisman
Dylan Weisman

Five players limped in and saw the 10?8?4? flop. Action checked to Pot-Limit Omaha specialist Dylan Wiesman, and he bet 1,000 into a pot of 1,200 from the cutoff. The button and small blind called before the remaining two players got out of the way.

The small blind checked on the K? turn, prompting Weisman to continue for another 4,200. The button jammed for around 14,000, folding out the small blind. Weisman snap-called and the cards went on their backs.

Button: K?K?Q?9?All in
Dylan Weisman: A?5?8?8?

Weisman flopped a set of eights, but the button turned a set of kings to have the advantage. Thankfully for Weisman, the 6? appeared on the river to give him a low and half the pot.
