Walton Gets Paid by Jachtmann

Level 36 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

Jan-Peter Jachtmann opened to 1,600,000 from under the gun and Adam Walton defended from the big blind. The flop came Q?7?5? and both players checked to the 4? on the turn.

Walton led out with a bet of 5,000,000 on the turn and Jachtmann called to see the Q? on the river. Walton reached back for a large bet of 18,000,000 on the river and Jachtmann flicked in a chip to call. Walton whipped over A?3? for a flush and Jachtmann conceded the pot.

Cong Pham Eliminated in 12th Place ($535,000)

Level 36 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante
Cong Pham
Cong Pham

Cong Pham open-jammed a stack of 2,400,000 in the cutoff and Jan-Peter Jachtmann called in the big blind.

Cong Pham: 8?7?
Jan-Peter Jachtmann: A?2?

Pham needed to hit an eight or a seven and didn't get much help from the 9?4?2? flop. The 5? turn gave him additional outs with a gunshot but the 4? bricked off on the river to mark his elimination in 12th place for $535,000 as Jachtmann received a small boost after taking a big hit the previous hand.

The deep run gives the Florida native his biggest career cash, besting his third-place finish in the 2013 Borgata Poker Open that brought him $301,225.

Holzner Doubles Through Maceiras

Level 37 : Blinds 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante

Daniel Holzner moved all-in for the last 3,500,000 on the button and chip leader

Daniel Holzner: A?8?
Juan Maceiras: J?10?

The K?8?5? flop paired the kicker of Holzner as he retained the lead, which was also the case on the 4? turn.

Holzner then held up thanks to the K? river and doubled his short stack, too.

Alec Torelli
Alec Torelli

Alec Torelli was the third short stack to move all-in for six and a half blinds, picking up a call from Juan Maceiras.

Alec Torelli: J?J?
Juan Maceiras: A?K?

The classic flip had Torelli at risk as he paced back to his rail, but fell silent when the K?8?6? flop improved Maceiras.

Nothing changed with the 6? turn and A? river as Torelli's run ended in 11th place for $700,000.

Walton Gets Value From Jones

Level 37 : Blinds 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante

Toby Lewis opened to 2,000,000 in the cutoff and Steven Jones called on the button before Dean Hutchison and Adam Walton came along from the blinds.

Hutchison and Walton checked on the A?3?5? flop and Jones bet 3,200,000. Walton called and Lewis folded. Walton checked again on the K? turn and Jones checked back.

Walton then led out for 4,200,000 on the J? river and Jones called. Walton showed the winning hand that the cameras were unable to catch and Jones mucked.
