Fist Bumps for Amorelli Nearing Bubble

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

On the J?10?4?7? turn there was about 100,000 already in the middle, and Franco Amorelli had already checked before facing a bet of 34,000 from Jarrett Mullins. Amorelli was in the tank for about 30 seconds and made the call.

The 9? completed the board on the river, and Amorelli checked to Mullins once more before he fired a bet of 120,000.

Amorelli tanked even longer this time, and eventually tossed in a call to hear the greatest words ever as the bubble was approaching, "Good call."

Mullins tabled 5?3?, and Amorelli fist-bumped as he tabled A?7? to drag the pot.

Grant Coolers Bojovic on First Hand of the Bubble

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Davor Bojovic opened to 16,000 in the cutoff and Jordan Grant three-bet to 55,000 in the small blind. Bojovic called and they went heads-up to a flop of A?K?10?.

Grant led out with a bet of 50,000 and Bojovic stuck around to see the 6? on the turn. Grant dropped in a stack of 25,000 chips, enough to put Bojovic to the test for his remaining 255,000. Bojovic tanked for a couple of minutes and then finally stuck in the chips to call.

Davor Bojovic: A?K?
Jordan Grant: 10?10?

Grant flopped a set of tens, which left Bojovic drawing to just four outs. The river was the 6? and Grant improved to a full house to eliminate Bojovic. There are now 1,509 players remaining, just two eliminations away from the money.

Ananthapadmanabha Folds Aces Pre

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Timothy Lin opened to 16,000 from under the gun and action folded to Harish Ananthapadmanabha in late position. He tanked for over a minute saying he was "in agony" as he held his head in his hands. Eventually Ananthapadmanabha released his hand, as did the remaining players, to send the pot to Lin, who showed 8x6x offsuit. Ananthapadmanabha, meanwhile, revealed he had folded aces preflop to a single raise in an effort to secure a minimum cash.

Nguyen Doubles on the Bubble

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Harsheel Kothari raised from middle position to 16,000, finding Thanh Nguyen in the small blind who shoved all in for his last 43,000. Action back on Kothari, he thought on his decision for some time.

"Do I want to crush his dreams?" Kothari asked himself aloud before making the call.

Thanh Nguyen: A?A?
Harsheel Kothari: 8?6?

The dream-crushing seemed possible on the flop of 3?5?4?, giving Kothari an open-ended straight draw. But thankfully for Nguyen, the turn and river came the 9? and K?, respectively, ensuring him that his aces would safely hold up.
