Do Breaks Two Million Flopping Trip Eights

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Joao Simao opened from under the gun and was called by Vuong Do in the cutoff and Vincent Phan in the big blind.

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and Simao continued for 75,000. Do called and Phan, a short stack, folded.

The {a-Spades} arrived on the turn and Simao made another bet, this time for 125,000. Do called once again.

On the {q-Hearts} river, Simao slowed down and checked. Do put out a bet of 190,000, which sent Simao into the tank for over three minutes.

Simao eventually called and Do flipped over {j-Spades}{8-Spades} for trip eights and the win.

Hawksby Turns Top Set

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Action started when Andrew Hawksby opened to 80,000 from early position. Only Jefferson Morrill called in the big blind.

The flop was {7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{8-Spades} and both players checked.

Things heated up when the {a-Hearts} hit the turn. Morrill checked and Hawksby bet 130,000, which was called.

The {9-Spades} completed the board and again Morrill checked and Hawksby sized up to 360,000 which was quickly called.

Petkov Scores The Knockout

Corrigan Busts Roderick After Flopping Bottom Set

Joseph Bartholdi opened from the cutoff and Jack Corrigan called from the small blind. Scott Roderick flatted from the big blind.

The flop came {4-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Roderick led for 150,000. Bartholdi raised to 450,000 and Corrigan called. Roderick shoved for 1,200,000 total, Bartholdi snap-folded and Corrigan snap-called.

Corrigan flopped bottom set and was far ahead of Roderick's pair of nines. The {10-Hearts} on the turn had Roderick drawing dead, with a {4-Diamonds} on the river giving Corrigan a full house and sealing the victory.

Lagodich Finds a Double

Calvin Anderson opened the action to 90,000 from middle position. Arash Ghaneian called from the cutoff and Frank Lagodich moved all in for 1,030,000 from the big blind. Anderson quickly moved enough chips in to make the call and Ghaneian got out of the way.

Converse Doubles Up with Set-Over-Set

Matthew Converse opened from early position to 85,000 and Aron Pedigo called from the big blind.

The flop came {3-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} and Converse continued for 70,000. Pedigo called.

The {q-Spades} arrived on the turn and Converse bet once more, this time 175,000. Pedigo raised to 500,000 and Converse shoved for 885,000 total. Pedigo called.

However, the {j-Diamonds} came on the river and Beckers was eliminated.

Shortly after, Cedric Louard opened for 100,000 and Weese three-bet to a little over 300,000. Louard shoved for around 1,300,000 total and Weese called.
