Level 39 : 800,000/1,600,000, 1,600,000 ante

Martin Gavasci opened to 3,200,000 from under the gun and Vincas Tamasauskas pushed all in for 14,900,000 on his left. The action folded around to Phuoc Nguyen in the small blind who re-shoved all in. Gavasci folded and the remaining two hands were tabled.

Phuoc Nguyen: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

Gavasci Makes the Right Call on Lee

Level 39 : 800,000/1,600,000, 1,600,000 ante

Martin Gavasci raised to 3,200,000 and it folded to Michael Lee who called in the big blind.

Both checked on the {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and a {q-Hearts} showed up on the turn. Lee led out for 7,000,000 and Gavasci tanked for a while before making the call.

A {5-Hearts} completed the board on the river and Lee sent another bet worth 9,000,000. Gavasci went deep into the tank and ended up calling. Lee announced jack-high and the pot was sent to Gavasco who held {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for a pair of queens.

Phuoc Nguyen raised to 3,800,000 and it folded to Robert Mather who called in the big blind.

On the {j-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop, Mather checked and Nguyen announced all in, putting him at risk for a remaining stack around 8,000,000. Mather quickly called and the cards were tabled.

Robert Mather: {j-Spades}{7-Spades}
Phuoc Nguyen: {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

Nguyen hit a {a-Clubs} on the turn, giving him the flush, and Mather was eliminated after the {3-Clubs} completed the board.

The action folded around to Jerry Zehr in the small blind who shipped all in for 8,500,000. Michael Lee lifted his cards and thought for a moment before sticking in the chips to call.

Jerry Zehr: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Michael Lee: {8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}

Lee had two live cards but the flop of {q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts} missed him altogether. The {j-Clubs} on the turn gave Zehr a pair of jacks but the {10-Spades} on the river made Lee a straight.

Kim and Gavasci Double Up

Level 39 : 800,000/1,600,000, 1,600,000 ante

At one table, Eric Kim pushed all in for 9,800,000 in the cutoff and Jeffrey Stellwagon called from the big blind. Kim showed {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} while Stellwagon had two over cards with {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}. The board ran out {a-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} and Kim held on for the double up.

Next door, Vincas Tamasauskas opened to 3,800,000 from under the gun. Robert Mather and Martin Gavasci called from the blinds. The flop came {9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and the action checked to Tamasauskas who continued for 2,200,000. Mather folded but Gavasci jammed all in for 8,300,000. Tamasauskas asked for a count and then called.

Gavasci flipped over {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} while Tamasauskas had one over card with {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. The {5-Diamonds} on the turn and the {2-Clubs} on the river could not improve Tamasauskas as he also sent chips across the table.
