Vincas Tamasauskas Eliminated in 8th Place ($40,885)

Level 41 : 1,200,000/2,400,000, 2,400,000 ante
Vincas Tamasauskas
Vincas Tamasauskas

Eric Kim limped and so did Michael Lee before Vincas Tamasauskas decided to raise to 32,000,000, with only one 100,000-chip left. Kim let it go but after some consideration, Lee made the call.

The flop brought {2-Clubs}{5-Spades}{6-Clubs} and Tamasauskas sent his last chip in the middle, called by Lee for the following showdown:

Vincas Tamasauskas: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Michael Lee: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}

Tamasauskas was in good shape for a double up but the rest of the board revealed a {2-Spades} and a {j-Spades}, to give a pair of jacks to Lee on the river and the winning hand.

Zyrin Gets Paid from Kim

Level 41 : 1,200,000/2,400,000, 2,400,000 ante

Eric Kim raised to 5,000,000 on the button and Anatolii Zyrin defended from the big blind. The flop fell {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and Zyrin checked to Kim who continued for 3,500,000. Zyrin check-raised to 9,000,000 and Kim called.

The turn brought the {3-Spades} and Zyrin announced all in for 12,000,000. Kim confirmed the count and then called. Zyrin turned over {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for a pair of jacks which was ahead of Kim's {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}.

The river was the {8-Hearts} and Zyrin held on to double up.

Penh Lo
Penh Lo

Eric Kim opened to 4,800,000 from under the gun and Penh Lo three-bet shoved all in for 28,600,000 in the hijack. The action folded back to Kim who asked for a count before making the call.

Penh Lo: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Eric Kim: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{8-Spades} with the queen right in the window for Kim. The {5-Diamonds} and {3-Diamonds} runout changed nothing and Lo was eliminated in ninth place.

Level 40 : 1,000,000/2,000,000, 2,000,000 ante

Anatolii Zyrin raised to 4,000,000 in the hijack and Penh Lo shoved on the button for 8,000,000 chips more. It folded back to Zyrin who quickly called.

It was a typical flip situation, Lo holding {3-Spades}{3-Clubs} versus {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for Zyrin, and the pot was sent to Lo after the board revealed {8-Spades}{5-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{a-Spades}{q-Hearts}.

Lee Steals One on the River

Level 40 : 1,000,000/2,000,000, 2,000,000 ante

Kevin Rand raised to 4,000,000 in the hijack and Michael Lee flat-called on the button. The blinds folded and they went heads-up to a flop of {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}.

Rand checked to Lee who quickly checked back to see the {5-Diamonds} on the turn. Both players checked again and the {8-Hearts} completed the board. Rand checked for the third time and Lee splashed in a bet of 25,000. Rand ditched his cards and Lee collected the pot.

Level 40 : 1,000,000/2,000,000, 2,000,000 ante

Michael Lee raised in the hikack to 5,000,000 and Anatolii Zyrin pushed next to him for 17,600,000. Phuc Nguyen tanked for a few minutes but eventually folded and it came back to Lee who made the call.

Anatolii Zyrin: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Michael Lee: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

The board fell {a-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{j-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Spades} and Zyrin improved his hand into the flush to get the double up. Nguyen told to the table he folded pocket jacks.

Jeffrey Stellwagon
Jeffrey Stellwagon

Jeffrey Stellwagon shipped all in for his last 11,200,000 in the hijack. Michael Lee was in the big blind and quickly called once the action was on him.

Jeffrey Stellwagon: {a-Spades}{2-Hearts}
Michael Lee: {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Stellwagon was ahead but needed to dodge any face card after the {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop. The {4-Clubs} on the turn was a brick but the {q-Hearts} on the river gave Lee a pair of queens to eliminate Stellwagon in 10th place.
