Schumacher Claims the Pot with the Ace-Kicker

Level 33 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

The flop read {8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Santiago Plante had checked in the big blind. Johan Schumacher bet 600,000 from under the gun to be met with a raise from Plante to 1,700,000. Schumacher called.

The turn was the {6-Hearts} and Plante took a long time before opting to bet 1,400,000. Schumacher took a few seconds too, and then called.

The {k-Spades} completed the board. Plante tanked and then opted to check before Schumacher did the same. Plante tabled the {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for missed flush and straight draws. Schumacher claimed the pot with {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.

Leng's Flopped Set Takes Some From Andler

Level 33 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Ryan Leng
Ryan Leng

Christopher Andler raised to 850,000 from early position and Ryan Leng called in middle position, as did Katsushi Yoshida in the big blind.

The flop came {a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and Andler bet 1.1 million. Leng called and Yoshida folded.

The {8-Spades} fell on the turn and Andler check-called a 1.3 million bet.

The {7-Spades} completed the board and Andler check-called for 800,000.

Leng showed {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts} for a set of sixes and mentioned something about "ace-king with a king of spades", as Andler indeed rolled over {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} which was no good.

Level 32 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Matthew Burley
Matthew Burley

The flop read {10-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{7-Spades} and Matthew Burley in the early position had the all-in button in front of him already. Jeffrey Vertes in the hijack and Charlie Dawson in the cutoff were still battling for the rest. However, Vertes bet enough for Dawson to fold his {a-Diamonds}{k-} to let them continue the fight.

Matthew Burley: {j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Jeffrey Vertes: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Burley had flopped top pair but Vertes held the overpair.

The turn was the {6-Spades} to not help Burley and neither did the {6-Hearts} on the river for Burley to bust in sixteenth place.
