Kamp Can't Knock Ortega Out

Level 34 : 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Dannah Kamp raised to 1,050,000 from the cutoff and Anthony Ortega defended his big blind.

The flop came {5-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{9-Hearts}, Ortega bet 600,000 for Kamp to raise it up to 1,600,000. Ortega called her raise.

The turn was the {2-Hearts} and Ortega shoved. Kamp asked for a count and the dealer confirmed Ortega had 5,375,000 behind. Kamp counted out calling chips and looked at how much she had left before making the call with the bigger stack.

Anthony Ortega: {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Dannah Kamp: {j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

Kamp had flopped top pair while Ortega was sitting on the flush draw and double gutshot to a straight.

The river completed the board with the {a-Hearts} for Ortega to hit that flush to double up.

Noori Finds Some Hope

Level 34 : 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

The short-stacked Michael Noori jammed in his 750,000 stack from the cutoff and was isolated by Jeffrey Vertes on the button.

Michael Noori: {a-Spades}{4-Diamonds}
Jeffrey Vertes: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Noori was looking for an ace and found one in the window of the {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop. The {j-Diamonds} and {9-Hearts} completed the board to keep him alive and essentially give him a triple-up with the addition of the blinds.

A couple of hands later he jammed again and everyone folded to chip him up a little more.

Santiago Plante

Just before the break, Santiago Plante raised to 800,000 on the button and Johan Schumacher jammed from the small blind. Plante called for his remaining 12.2 million and the hands were flipped over.

Santiago Plante: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Johan Schumacher: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Plante had a dominating lead but was at risk and needed to hold. The board ran out all low cards as it came {9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Plante's double was confirmed.

Level 33 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

Johan Schumacher raised to 800,000 in the hijack and Charlie Dawson defended the big blind.

The flop came {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and both players checked.

On the {8-Diamonds} turn, Dawson check-jammed on a 600,000 bet. Schumacher called for 1.4 million more.

Charlie Dawson: {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Johan Schumacher: {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Dawson turned two pair against Schumacher's ladies. The {3-Diamonds} completed the board and Dawson gave a fist pump and two thumbs-up to his rail as he stayed alive and scooped the pot.

Flush for Leng to Claim a Big Pot

Level 33 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

Mordechai Hazan raised to 850,000 from the middle position and Ryan Leng defended his big blind when the action came to him.

The flop was the {j-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, Leng check-called the 950,000 continuation-bet of Hazan.

The turn was the {5-Spades} and Leng checked again. Hazan barreled a bet of 1,625,000 over the line for Leng to confirm the amount before making the call.

The river completed the board with the {6-Clubs} and Leng took over the initiative. He bet 3,300,000 for Hazan to tank for a while. He cut out calling chips, glanced at his cards again, looked at the remainder of his stack and then made the call.

Leng flipped over the {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for the flush to leave Hazan to stare at the board for a while and then push his cards into the muck for the pot to get awarded to Leng.
