Valden Doubles Through Ivan

Level 39 : 500,000/1,000,000, 0 ante
Robert Valden
Robert Valden

Alexandru Ivan just doubled up another opponent. This time the chips went to Robert Valden. Valden pushed all in for his last 3,300,000 from the hijack and Ivan called from the cutoff. The other players folded and they opened up.

Robert Valden: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Alexandru Ivan: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades}

The board ran out {j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and Valden hit a flush to win the pot. Ivan then jokingly said ''full house'' and Valden his jaw dropped before realizing Ivan was only joking.

Niste Doubles Through Franklin

Level 38 : 400,000/800,000, 0 ante
Mihai Niste
Mihai Niste

Mihai Niste potted it for 2,800,000 in the cutoff, Tom Franklin repotted on the button and Niste called all in for 3,200,000 total.

Mihai Niste: {j-Spades}{10-Spades}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs}
Tom Franklin: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

"Ten," Niste asked nicely.

"Naww, hearts again," chuckled Franklin, referencing the flopped nut flush in the previous hand.

The flop was {j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and both players caught a four, but Niste filled up right away with the jack as well. The turn brought the {j-Clubs} for an even bigger boat.

"Oh hell," Franklin said. "King then."

The river was the {8-Clubs} instead and Niste survived once more.

It folded to Andrew Donabedian in the cutoff and he bet 2,200,000. Mihai Niste announced pot from the small blind but he didn't have enough to make it to 7,400,000 so he put all his chips in the middle. The dealer counted it out and it turned out to be 7,100,000 and Niste was all-in. Tom Franklin then put his last 5,500,000 in the middle and Donabedian called quickly.

Tom Franklin: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{q-Spades}{8-Hearts}
Mihai Niste: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs}
Andrew Donabedian: {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Spades}

Franklin called for hearts and he immediately flopped the nut flush when the flop fell {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{2-Hearts}. Neither Donabedian or Niste caught up on the {3-Spades} turn and {7-Diamonds} river but Niste did manage to win the side pot to stay alive with 4 big blinds.

Donabedian Doubles Through Ivan

Level 38 : 400,000/800,000, 0 ante
Andrew Donabedian
Andrew Donabedian

Alexandru Ivan raised on the button what appeared to be close to 2,500,000. Andrew Donabedian three-bet shoved 7,150,000 from the big blind.

"You're ahead," Ivan said before calling it off.

Andrew Donabedian: {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}
Alexandru Ivan: {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}

Donabedian tabled his hand first, prompting an instant "that's ahead?" inquiry from Tom Franklin. It was indeed (53% to 47%), and it remained ahead after the board came down {a-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} to give Donabedian the winner with fours full of sixes.

"You thought i was gonna fold?" Ivan asked, sporting a slightly cynical undertone. "Nice hand," he added, followed by a "good call," from Donabedian.
