Firsau's Tournament Is Over

Level 25 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

After a 47,000-raise from under the gun, Vasili Firsou three-bet shoved for around 220,000 out of the cutoff. The action folded back to the initial raiser and he called off.

Firsau had two live cards with {K-Spades}{Q-Spades} versus {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} but he ended up drawing dead on the turn as the board came down {8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}.

Bohlman Loses Some

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

With about 100,000 in the middle and the board reading {K-Spades}{J-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, the small blind bet 40,000 and Scott Bohlman called from the big blind.

The turn brought the {4-Spades} and the small blind bet 115,000. Bohlman went into the tank for about half a minute and called.

The {J-Diamonds} fell on the river and both players checked. The small blind tabled {7-Hearts}{4-Clubs}, Bohlman mucked, and the small blind took the pot.

"I thought I was the button," he said as he stacked his newly acquired chips.

Zack Still Hanging Around

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Dan Zack was down to one big blind and he called in the middle position after his right-hand opponent raised to 41,000. Nobody else joined the contest and Zack was trailing with {A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} against {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. The board of {2-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{5-Spades}{A-Hearts}{7-Hearts} hit Zack's deuce and he more than quadrupled.

Jacobson Calls and Wins

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Martin Jacobson
Martin Jacobson

There was a massive pile of about 325,000 in the middle and the complete {K-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} board was out when we got to the table. Martin Jacobson checked from the big blind and his opponent shoved for about 660,000, putting Jacobson to a decision for his 309,000-chip stack. After a bit of time in the tank, he called, and his opponent flipped over {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}. Jacobson showed {K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and took the pot to double up with two pair.

Ziegler Back to a Nub

Level 23 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Tobias Ziegler reshoved from the button over an all-in bet from a player in early position. Ziegler was a slight favorite with {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} against {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds} but the dealer spread out a board of {J-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Ziegler lost a half of his stack.
