Martin Soukup Eliminated in 6th Place ($20,076)

Level 29 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Martin Soukup
Martin Soukup

Joe Serock min-raised to 120,000 from the hijack and Martin Soukup called in the big blind to see a {6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop.

Soukup open-shoved his last 530,000 into the middle, and Serock called.

Serock: {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}
Soukup: {6-Spades}{5-Hearts}

Soukup was trailing but had backdoor straight outs to go along with his six and five. The turn was one of those cards as it landed the {5-Spades}.

Soukup now needed to fade any ace, eight or three to ensure his double, but when the dealer dropped the {8-Hearts} on the river, the 2016 Unibet Open Malta winner would be eliminated in 6th place for a $20,076 payday. Serock is now sitting on 3.3 million in chips.

Springael Takes from Adriaans

Level 29 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Egi Adriaans limped in from under the gun and Joris Springael completed from the small blind as Andrew Warren checked the big blind.

The flop landed {5-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{8-Hearts} and Adriaans bet out 100,000 with only Springael check-calling as the turn landed the {7-Hearts} and both players checked.

The river landed the {A-Spades} and after a Springael check, Adriaans bet 250,000 and Springael quickly called.

Adriaans tabled his {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} for sixth pair, but it would be Springael's {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs} for second pair that would ensure he was pushed the pot.
