Sabat Doubles Through Berger

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Hand #1 - Ben Palmer opened the action from the cutoff with a raise to 40,000, and it folded around to Scott Clements in the small blind. He three bet to 133,000, and it got back to Palmer. He moved all in for his last just about a million chips, and Clements folded, saying that he accidentally bet 25,000 too many.

Hand #2 - Jacob Bazeley raised to 40,000 from the cutoff, and Levi Berger made it 140,000 in the small blind. Eddy Sabat was in the big blind, and he announced all in for his last 720,000. Bazeley quickly folded, and Berger immediately asked for a count. Once he got it, he thought for a few more moments before putting a stack of chips in the middle, signifying a call.

Berger: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Sabat: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

Sabat was in great shape, but the {q-Hearts} immediately popped into the window, as the flop came {q-Hearts}{3-Spades}{6-Spades}. Sabat now needed to hit a three outer, and the turn didn't do that, coming the {a-Clubs}. However, the {k-Hearts} slammed down on the river, and Sabat pumped his fist and yelled "Yes! Holy s**t!"

Once the chips were counted down, Sabat scored the full double to over 1.4 million.

Clifford Goldkind Eliminated in 7th Place ($41,011)

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Clifford Goldkind - 7th Place
Clifford Goldkind - 7th Place

The unofficial final table lasted just one hand.

Hand #1: Action folded to Clifford Goldkind in the small blind and he raised to 40,000. Scott Clements three-bet to 101,000 from the big blind, Goldkind four-bet to 265,000, and Clements five-bet shoved for about 885,000 effective. Goldkind called all in.

Goldkind: {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Clements: {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}

The flop came down {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} to give Goldkind a flush draw, but it never came as the {6-Spades} turn and {2-Diamonds} river secured the pot for Clements.

Marcio Cid Eliminated in 8th Place ($41,011)

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Marcio Cid
Marcio Cid

Scott Clements made it 42,000 from the button, and it folded to Marcio Cid in the big blind. He moved all in for his last 680,000, and it didn't take Clements long to call, setting up a huge pot of almost 1.4 million.

Clements: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Cid: {a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}

The flop sure brought some excitement, coming all diamonds: {9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}. Both players had a diamond, but Cid was the one who picked up the extra outs, as he had the ace of diamonds. Unfortunately for Cid, the board completed with two nines, the {9-Hearts} and {9-Clubs}, giving Clements the KO and the chip lead and sending us to our unofficial final table.

Goldkind Bests Berger

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

We caught up with the action on the flop, which read {10-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}. Levi Berger and Clifford Goldkind were heads up, and the former bet out 38,000. Goldkind made the call, and Berger checked when the {3-Clubs} hit the turn. Goldkind took that as an invitation to bet out 58,000, and Berger came along to see the river, the {8-Spades}.

Berger checked again, and Goldkind threw out a big bet of 138,000. Berger tanked for about two or three minutes before announcing call, then quickly mucked when saw Goldkind table {k-Spades}{8-Clubs} for two pair. Berger fell to 1.2 million after that hand, while Goldkind is now up to 920,000.

Bazeley's Jack Gets it Done

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Jacob Bazeley made it 40,000 to go first to act, and Scott Clements called from the button. The flop came down {j-Hearts}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs}, and Bazeley put out a c-bet to 45,000. Clements called, and the {10-Spades} hit the turn. Bazeley checked to Clements, who fired out a bet of 77,000. Bazeley made the call, and both players checked when the {10-Hearts} hit the river.

Bazeley rolled over {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}, adn Clements tossed his hand toward the dealer. After that pot, Bazeley is up to 800,000, while Clements is just a shade over one million.
