Arieh Collects With The River Check-Raise Bluff

Josh Arieh
Josh Arieh
While this final table has so far moved along rather cautiously, Josh Arieh just announced to the table that he is ready to kick things up a gear!

The action folded around to Ferit Gabriellson who opened with a raise to 60,000 from the cutoff. Barry Greenstein defended in the small blind as did Arieh in the big blind.

They saw a flop of {9-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs} and play checked to Gabriellson who fired a continuation bet of 100,000. Greenstein quickly folded as Arieh eyed down his opponent before tossing out calling chips.

The {J-Diamonds} hit the turn and Arieh checked to Gabriellson who decided to slow down and check behind. The river was the {4-Spades} and Arieh checked once again to Gabriellson who this time fired out 150,000. Arieh thought for a few moments before declaring a raise of an additional 300,000. The check-raise sent Gabriellson into the tank for a long time before he finally gave it up.

Arieh then proudly flashed {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} for a straight draw that ended with nothing but imagination as Gabriellson shook his head in disgust. The first significant blow of this final table goes the way of Arieh.

Chip Leader Chips Up

Van Marcus limped into the pot from middle position, Ferit Gabriellson called from the small blind and Matt Graham checked his option in the big blind.

They saw a flop of {3-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and the three players checked around.

The {4-Spades} fell on the turn and Gabriellson led out with a bet of 50,000. Graham then announced a raise to 206,000. Marcus quickly folded and Gabriellson deliberated for a long time before eventually releasing to give Graham a nice pot.

Ferit-ing Out Some Chips

Ferit Gabriellson raises to 65,000 and Vitaly Lunkin makes the call from the small blind

The flop is {3-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds}, Lunkin checks and then folds to a 100,000 bet from Gabriellson.

Gabriellson gets a walk the next hand too.

Mattsson Takes One From The Big Blind

Richard Austin limped from under the gun and the table folded around to Josh Arieh who completed from the small blind and Stefan Mattsson checked his option in the big blind.

The flop landed {K-Hearts}{10-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Arieh checked to Mattsson who fired out a bet of 58,000 to take it down.

First Hand...

Vitaly Lunkin raises to 50,000, Robin Keston calls and everyone else folds.
