Before this year, Pickering cashed three times at the WSOP in '05 and '06, all in Hold'em events. Prior to today, his largest career cash was at the 2006 Victorian Poker Championships when he won the $100,000 Challenge, netting him A$50,000 (about $38,000 U.S.). Pickering has come on especially strong of late, cashing four times at the 2008 Aussie Millions, including a first place in the Limit Hold'em event, and one cash in a PLO event.
