Boudreau Folds to Chrisp

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Kevin Boudreau raised to 250,000 under the gun, and Max Chrisp made it 980,000 in the big blind. Boudreau called, and Chrisp overbet jammed about 3 million on the {9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}. Boudreau took the same posture he did on his big call against Reza Yazdi, but this time he folded after a couple of minutes.

John Beauprez Eliminated in 5th Place ($27,160)

Max Chrisp opened for 375,000 in the cutoff, and John Beauprez jammed for 1.33 million in the big blind. Chrisp asked for a count, and after another minute or so, he called.

Chrisp: {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Beauprez: {a-Clubs}{5-Hearts}

"Diamonds are forever, baby," Chrisp said.

No diamonds arrived as it was black cards making up the {4-Spades}{k-Clubs}{8-Spades} flop. The {6-Clubs} turn lessened Beauprez's chopping chances, and the {a-Spades} river meant Chrisp's kicker played for the knockout.

Boudreau Picks Off Yazdi's Massive Bluff

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Kevin Boudreau
Kevin Boudreau

Kevin Boudreau opened to 200,000 under the gun, and Reza Yazdi three-bet to 575,000 in the small blind. Boudreau called, and the flop came {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. Yazdi fired 1 million, and Boudreau thought for a bit and called. The turn brought a {4-Clubs}. Yazdi checked after some time, and Boudreau immediately checked it back. On the {q-Clubs} river, Yazdi bet 1.5 million, about what Boudreau had left. Boudreau leaned forward put his head in his hand for the first at the final table, clearly deep in thought. He slid forward a few stacks, counting down what he had left. About 30 seconds later, he placed one of them in the middle.

Yazdi rapped the table and tossed {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} into the middle, an airball.

"Show the pocket pair," Max Chrisp said. "Show the pocket pair!"

Indeed, Boudreau rolled over {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}, and his rail celebrated wildly.

Michael Lech Eliminated in 6th Place ($22,310)

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Michael Lech - 6th Place
Michael Lech - 6th Place

Michael Lech shoved for about 700,000 in the small blind over a middle-position open from Kevin Boudreau. Boudreau called.

Boudreau: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Lech: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Boudreau's rail got excited after a {9-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop gave him a set. The {4-Diamonds} turn meant only a {j-} would save Lech, but an {a-Spades} fell.
