Dennis Jones completed his small blind and Mykel Comroe checked his option. The two saw a flop of and Comroe checked to Jones, who bet 100,000. Comroe called.
The turn came and Comroe check-called another bet of 100,000 from Jones. The river fell and Comroe checked once more to put action back on Jones, who thought for a moment.
"Seven," he announced, putting out a bet of 700,000. Comroe thought for about a minute before convincing himself to call.
Jones tabled and the dealer pushed forward the necessary community cards deliberately, one by one, to display Jones' straight. Comroe sat there taking in the entire situation for a couple seconds before sending his hand to the muck as the dealer shipped the pot Jones' way, making him the new chip leader around one-third of the way into level 28 and roughly one hour into the heads-up match.
