Ondrej Goetz Leads Flight as 18 Players Bag for Day 2

Day 1b of the €1,100 Eureka Main Event, running as part of the 2023 PokerStars European Poker Tour at the Hilton Prague, has now reached its conclusion. A total of 122 entries were made to the flight. After 16 levels of play, 18 made it through to Day 2 and into the money.

Czech player Ondrej Goetz bagged in first place with 514,000 chips, which puts him third overall when Day 1a stacks are considered. Goetz's biggest live poker result so far was a sixth place finish in the 2015 EPT Barcelona Estrellas High Roller, worth €67,120. He's also had a number of impressive wins in local events, with plenty of five figure first and second place finishes to his name.

Ender Lacin of Turkey finished the flight in second place. He bagged with 427,000 at the end of the night. In third was Nikolai Ogoltsov, who will return for Day 2 with 361,000.

Notable players who fired at least one bullet in Day 1d, but who didn't manage to make it through, include Fintan Hand (out in 25th), Simon Higgins (32nd), Benjamin Spragg (47th) and Elias Gutierrez Hernandez (49th). With four more flights to come, players will have plenty more opportunities to bag a stack.

The Eureka Main Event continues with Day 1c, which commences Thursday at 12 p.m. local time. Day 1d, another turbo flight, also runs tomorrow at 7 p.m. local time.
