William Thorson Picks Up a Nice Pot

William Thorson
William Thorson
Anthony Lellouche limped in from middle position as did Gregory Genovese from the small blind. William Thorson checked his option and the three saw a flop of {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}. Everybody checked and the {2-Clubs} hit the turn. Genovese checked again and Thorson slid out 35,000. Lellouche called, Genovese folded and the river came the {9-Clubs}. Thorson thought a bit, then pushed 80,000 across the line. Lellouche sized Thorson up a bit, and then called. Thoroson showed {6-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Lellouche mucked.

Eric Koskas Takes a Pot From Dario Minieri

On the first hand of play, Eric Koskas and Dario Minieri are heads up with the board reading {8-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. Koskas moved all in and Dario went into the tank. The two began a dialogue in which Koskas repeatedly asked for a call and the two speculated endlessly on the other's holding. At one point, Koskas said "I'm crazy but I'm not stupid," a phrase which sparked an outburst of laughter from the gallery. After roughly five or six minutes of chatter, during which time even the EPT television commentators were trying to call a clock, Minieri finally folded. Koskas showed and a queen and Minieri said, "I definitely folded the worst hand then."
