Itoafa Knocks Out Pineda

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Pat Pineda
Pat Pineda

Pat Pineda was all in for his last 6,000 from the small blind with both Steve Wilkie in the big blind and Mike Itoafa in the cutoff giving him action.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Wilkie and Itoafa both checked. Itoafa bet 5,000 on the turn {8-Clubs} and Wilkie called. The river came {q-Spades} and Itoafa shoved for around 30,000. Wilkie quickly folded, lifting up his cards to show Itoafa in the process.

Itoafa tabled {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. During the side-pot action, Pineda had already stood up, expecting to have less than the best hand. He mentioned as Itoafa was making his river shove that all he had was ace-high. Upon Itoafa tabling his hand, Pineda picked up his cards and slammed them into the muck without being tabled, proceeding to make his way out of the tournament area afterward.

WIlkie and Dixon Exchange Doubles

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Steve Wilkie limped in from the hijack and saw Mike Itoafa limp in behind from the button. Rich Dixon completed his small blind and Pat Pineda checked his option from the big blind.

The flop came {7-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and action checked to Wilkie, who bet 3,200. Itoafa folded and Dixon put in a check-raise to 13,800. Pineda folded and Wilkie called, taking action heads up to the turn {9-Spades}. Dixon continued, firing another 28,000 forward and Wilkie announced he was all in. Dixon called for a total of 79,700.

"I have a straight and a straight flush draw," said Wilkie, tabling {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}.
Dixon showed {10-Spades}{5-Clubs}.

Dixon's flopped tens up were all of a sudden in need of improving to a full house, with one of his tens being no good due to the fact that it would give Wilkie a straight flush. The river fell {5-Diamonds} and Dixon secured the double.

A few hands later, there was a three-way all in on a flop of {4-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} between Steve Wilkie in the big blind, Brian Leitch in middle position, and Rich Dixon in the cutoff.

Rich Dixon: {a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}
Brian Leitch: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Steve Wilkie: {6-Spades}{4-Clubs}

Wilkie pleaded with the dealer, using his "one time" while asking to hold and win the pot with his sixes up. The dealer complied with a runout of {k-Spades}{8-Diamonds} to Wilkie more than the double. With Leitch as the shortest stack, he was eliminated in the process, bringing stacks to their current figures.

Grahm Finds a Double

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

An all in and a call were announced as Behrouz Keshtavar had given Peter Grahm action in a blind-on-blind battle. Keshtavar had opened and then called Grahm's reraise all in for a total of 14,000.

Peter Grahm: {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Behrouz Keshtavar: {a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}

Grahm was behind but had two live, suited Broadway cards as outs. He hit on the flop {8-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} to take the lead. The turn came {j-Diamonds} to bring an open-ended straight draw on the board, but the small sweat didn't last for long as the river fell {j-Spades} and Grahm secured the double.

Lekarczyk Check-Shoves the Flop

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Thomas Heine opened from middle position to 4,500 and was called by Oscar Gutierrez, who was in the cutoff. Action folded around to Mitch Lekarczyk and he defended his big blind. Action went three ways to the flop {5-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Spades} and Lekarczyk checked. Heine made a continuation-bet of 11,500 and Gutierrez quickly folded.

With action back on Lekarczyk, he announced he was all in. Heine asked for a count which was totaled to be 34,500 and thought for a bit before folding.

Livingston's Fours Good

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Matt Livingston opened the action with a raise to 3,000 from middle position. Action folded around to Thomas Heine, who three-bet to 8,500 out of the small blind. Livingston called and the flop fell {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades}. Both players checked.

Heine bet out on the turn {3-Spades}, throwing out a total of 11,000. Livingston peeled to the river {q-Clubs}, where action again checked through to showdown.

Heine tabled {a-Spades}{6-Spades} for a missed nut flush draw. Livingston turned over {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} for a pair of fours and the dealer sent the pot his way.

Graham Wins With Queen Kicker

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Ruth Graham
Ruth Graham

Mansour Alipourfard opened to 3,200 from under the gun and received calls from Ruth Graham in the hijack, Bobby Sanoubane in the cutoff, and Peter Grahm in the big blind. The four saw a flop of {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and action checked around.

The turn came {a-Clubs} and Grahm checked. Alipourfard bet 7,000 and got a call from Graham. Sanoubane and Grahm folded, taking action heads up to the river {3-Spades}. Both players checked.

Alipourfard showed a missed heart draw, tabling {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. Graham turned over a missed club draw, showing {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. The dealer pushed forward the two pair, aces up on the board and announced that Graham's queen kicker was good, sending her the pot with nothing more than a bare queen playing from her hand.

Zoller Eliminated by Martinez

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Nate Zoller
Nate Zoller

Nate Zoller, who recently chopped the CPC Main Event for a little over $60K, has just become the first post-dinner casualty of the tournament. According to the table, he shoved his last chips in from under the gun and action folded around to Anthony Martinez, who was the final stand out of the big blind. He didn't back down.

Nate Zoller: {k-}{j-}
Anthony Martinez: {a-}{k-}

The flop came {a-}{q-}{2-} to give Zoller four outs to Broadway. However, that was the closest he would get as the turn {k-} and river {a-} filled Martinez up to the nuts, sending Zoller to the rail.

Wilkie Opts Not To

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Rich Dixon
Rich Dixon

Steve Wilkie limped in from the hijack and saw Brian Leitch limp in behind from the button. Mike Itoafa completed his small blind and Rich Dixon put out a raise to 4,200. Only Wilkie called to take action heads up postflop.

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades} and both players checked. Dixon bet 4,600 on the turn {5-Clubs} and Wilkie called. The river came {7-Hearts} and Dixon bet another 8,000.

Wilkie thought for a bit, saying that he wanted to look up Dixon's bet. He spoke about having a busted flush draw but still kept wanting to call. Eventually, decided to toss his cards into the muck.

As Dixon was collecting the pot, he remarked upon Wilkie's commentary, saying that he did not have a flush draw. Wilkie corrected him, saying that he was talking about his own hand. He added that he had a high card in there as well, which was what made him want to call. Nonetheless, he chose to and Dixon won the hand sans showdown.
