Bates Cruising into Dinner Break

Tommy Bates
Tommy Bates

Level 15: Blinds 2,500/5,000/5,000 BB Ante

Tommy Bates was spotted on Table 2 sitting comfortably behind an above average stack of about 200,000. He's in good shape as they approach the dinner break, which takes place at the end of this level.

Bates has made a couple of final tables here at Borgata, but came up short of the win both times. He's got his sights set on that elusive Borgata Open trophy and is going to do his best to take one home.

Play will resume after dinner at about 8:35pm.

Level 1: Blinds 100/100

Borgatas well-known and loved $100K GTD Saturday Series No Limit Holdem tournament is underway in the Signature Room. This is a one-day event, so theyll play until another Borgata Fall Poker Open trophy finds a new home.

Last year the first Saturday Series Deep Stack event drew 455 runners and crushed its $100,000 guarantee by creating a prize pool in excess of $154,000. John Wilson of Malvern, PA, came out on top of that tournament, taking first place and $23,760 after a 4-way deal was made.
