The under the gun player raised to 31,000 and Tommy Bates called from middle position. They went heads up to the {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop and the under the gun player bet 35,000.

Bates called and both players checked the {9-Spades} turn card. The {6-Spades} completed the board and the player checked to Bates who bet 50,000.

His opponent quickly called and Bates turned over {a-Spades}{10-Spades} for the nut flush to take the pot.

Eric Siegel Bursts the Bubble

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Eric Siegel
Eric Siegel

The action folded to Eric Siegel in the small blind and he moved all in. The player in the big blind called for his last 54,000 and the hands were shown.

Eric Siegel: {q-Hearts}{7-Spades}
Big Blind: {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The {6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{9-Spades} runout was no help to either player and Siegel's queen high was enough to earn him the knockout.

The remaining 54 players are now all in the money and guaranteed a minimum of $687 for their efforts.

Dinner Time for Saturday Series

Event #6: Saturday Series DeepStack NLH is on dinner break until about 8:35pm.

Shortly before the end of level 15, Tommy Bates had another player all-in and in bad shape, with pocket queens against his opponent's pocket tens.

A ten on the flop sent the lead the other way, but then Bates caught a Queen for the bigger set. He stacked his opponent and is possibly the chip leader among the remaining 78 players as they head out for dinner.
