Bandy Busts to Thomas

Level 20 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Nate Bandy
Nate Bandy

Shortly after the elimination of Justin Horne, Nate Bandy was seen gathering his belongings and making his way to the payout desk. William Thomas was the one who did the deed and filled in the details on how it all went down.

Bandy opened to 35,000 in the hijack and Thomas defended his big blind, bringing a flop of {9-}{8-}{2-}. Thomas checked to Bandy, who made a continuation-bet of 50,000 and Thomas check-raised to 130,000. Bandy came over the top for the remainder of his chips, which Thomas immediately called.

Nate Bandy: {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
William Thomas: {8-}{8-}

Bandy got no help on the two remaining cards and was eliminated in 18th place.

Ferro Flips Horne Out of the Tournament

Level 20 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Justin Horne
Justin Horne

Justin Horne raised to 40,000 in middle position and got a fold from Jermaine Gerlin in the hijack before Jake Ferro three-bet to 90,000 in the cutoff. Action folded back to Horne and he four-bet jammed for around 150,000. Ferro wasted no time calling and the two were off to the races.

Justin Horne: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}
Jake Ferro: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

"I folded {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}," said Gerlin before the two players' hands were both exposed. Despite one dead out, Ferro still connected on the flop {5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{a-Clubs}. The turn {j-Spades} and river {10-Clubs} made the runout official and Horne was bounced from the tournament in 19th place.

Conklin Out in 20th

Level 20 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Sean Conklin
Sean Conklin

Sean Conklin saw action fold to him on the button and jammed for his last 120,000. Kyle Cartwright called in the small blind.

Sean Conklin: {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Kyle Cartwright: {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}

An ace on the river was of no avail to Conklin on the runout {k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{a-Hearts} as he was already drawing dead by the turn to Cartwright's trip kings.

Ferro Gets Three Streets from Arbaugh

Level 20 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Jake Ferro
Jake Ferro

Jake Ferro opened to 35,000 in the cutoff and received a call from Brian Arbaugh, who defended his big blind. The flop came {a-Spades}{6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Arbaugh checked to Ferro, who made a continuation-bet of 35,000. Arbaugh called.

The turn came {k-Hearts} and Arbaugh checked again. Ferro continued, firing a second barrel of 85,000. Arbaugh thought for a bit and found a call, bringing the river {2-Clubs} on board. Arbaugh checked a third time and Ferro slid 235,000 forward into the middle for his final shell. Arbaugh went into the tank for some time, eventually putting in chips to call.

"I have ace-king," said Ferro, tabling {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} for top two pair. Arbaugh sent his cards to the muck and Ferro took down the pot, bringing his stack up to 1.39 million in the process.

During the hand, William Thomas eliminated Steven Payten on an adjacent table to bring the number of players remaining in the tournament down to 20.

Jackson checked and then raised a bet from Rotholz of 75,000, making it 225,000 total and sending Rotholz into the tank for a bit before he found a fold.

With the pot, Jackson is now up to 1 million. Meanwhile, Gloria Jackson returned from the break with just 40,000 and was unable to spin it back up. She was eliminated in the opening minutes of the level in 22nd place.

Gloria Jackson Left on Fumes Going Into Break

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

The tournament is on a 15-minute break.

On the last hand before break, Gloria Jackson limped on the button and saw Kyle Cartwright complete his small blind. Tyler Phillips checked his option in the big blind and the three went to a flop of {10-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}. Action checked to Jackson, who bet 12,000 and got a fold from Cartwright.

Phillips slowed down on the turn {a-Spades}, tapping the felt and watching Jackson do the same behind. The river fell {8-Diamonds} and Phillips took his time before betting 134,000. Jackson went into the tank as nearby tables cleared to go on break and found a call after roughly two minutes in the tank.

Phillips showed {a-Hearts}{2-Spades} for deuces full of aces and Jackson quickly sent her cards to the center of the table face down.

After a fifth-place finish in the opening event series, Bryan Brozman took care of his unfinished business in Event #4: $260 No-Limit Hold'em, outlasting a field of 190 for the first-place prize of $9,906.
