Peel Bursts the Bubble, We're in the Money!

We didn't get the name of the player that was eliminated in 28th place, but we reckon he wouldn't have wanted to speak to anyone - then again, it was just one of those classic coolers.

The unfortunate player moved all in with {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}, but Scott Peel woke up with {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}.

The board ran out {j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}; ladies and gentlemen, we are in the money!

Krautschneider's Castle Crumbles

Karl Krautschneider has just been busted as the "bubble bubble" by Geordie Wicks, who now has over 155,000 in chips.

We got there and saw a board that read {9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{a-Spades}{5-Clubs}{q-Spades} and Krautschneider had table {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}.

However Wicks had tabled {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, thus sending 'King Karl' to the rail and leaving us with 28 players - just one shy of the money.

Nassif Nets Chips, KO's Opponent

Marwan Nassif has just managed to eliminate another opponent and move up to 33,000 in chips as we approach the money.

The opponent moved all in before the flop with {a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}, but Nassif woke up with {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}.

The flop of {q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} gave Nassif top set and it was good all the way as the board completed {4-Diamonds}, {j-Hearts}.

Only two players to go!

Wicks Makes a Century

Wicks: 110k not out
Wicks: 110k not out
The player count is now at 32, but the main story is that Geordie Wicks busted an opponent, and as a result, he's the first player to break the magical 100k mark.

As Wicks recalled to us, he got his money in on the turn with {k-?}{k-?} against an opponent's {a-?}{q-?}. Said board read {k-?}{6-?}{6-?}{a-?} at the time.

Only an ace would save the opponent, but of course, we already mentioned that the opponent was eliminated. That's because a {7-?} bricked on the river. Scout's honour!

Wicks is now dominating the field with 110,000 in chips.

Huntly Becomes the Hunted

It hasn't been a great Aussie Millions for Dennis Huntly and it's been further soured, having just been eliminated by Jonas Esbo.

Huntly moved his last 10,000 into the middle with {6-Spades}{6-Hearts} and found himself in a coin toss for his tournament life against Esbo's {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}.

However the board was a nizzle-straightizzle-making {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{9-Spades} and Huntly was, shall we say, none too pleased about the situation.

Wicks Cripples Huntly

Geordie Wicks and Dennis Huntly ended up with all their chips in the middle preflop and we rushed over to see the showdown.

Wicks: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Huntly: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

Wicks held up after the board ran out {k-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} to move up to 60,000. Huntly was left with just 11,000 in chips.
