Vincent Chua Angry and Eliminated

It would be fair to say Vincent Chua was a little upset as he was eliminated today. Chua tipped over a chair on his way out the door, making his way past media row in a huff.

Chua's pocket fives were called by Jani Mikkola's {A-Clubs}{j-Clubs} with an Ace spiking the river.

Mikkola moves up to 63,000. We're now on the bubble.

Abolins Eliminates Handner

They are really dropping like flies now, normally you see a tournament slow down around the bubble, but not in this tournament. Play is actually speeding up and getting looser.

Handner moved all in with {A-Hearts}{10-Spades} and was always behind the {A-Clubs}{k-Clubs} of Luke Abolins. With the board running out {7-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{q-Hearts} Handner is eliminated and Abolins moves up to 52,000.

Tony Dunst Eliminated

Mark Saber opened to 5,000, with Tony Dunst moving over the top all in for 27,000. Everyone folded back to Saber who made the call tabling {K-Spades}{q-Clubs}. Dunst would be marginally in front with {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}.

The {10-Hearts}{q-Spades}{2-Spades} flop would give Saber the lead and he wouldn't look back with the {9-Diamonds}turn and {9-Hearts} river sending Dunst to the rail.

Scott Reddie Busto

Scott Reddie has been eliminated after he moved in the last of his short stack with {A-Clubs}{k-Clubs}. Joel Small made the call with {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and the board ran out {4-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{10-Hearts} to send Reddie to the rail. We are rapidly closing in on the bubble now.

Jani Mikkola Forces Barratt Laydown

Chris Barratt opened to 4,500 and Jani Mikkola came over the top for 20,000. Everyone at the table folded round to Barratt who used most of his time before folding. Mikkola tabled {k-Hearts}{2-Hearts}.

Jani moves up to 49,000. Barratt still has 82,000.

Garp Moving Up

After tangling multiple times with Mick Guttman, Tobias Garp is starting to rebuild his stack. Garp has advanced his stack now to 39,000 with the elimination of a short stack.

The short stacked player shoved with {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} and Garp made the call with {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}, the board running out {j-Spades}{4-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{7-Hearts} to have Garp's Tens hold up.

Guttman Garp Part Two

Tobias Garp
Tobias Garp
Tobias Garp and Mick Guttman have clashed yet again. This time Garp getting all of his chips in preflop for around 17,100 and Guttman making the call. Garp tabled {A-Hearts}{5-Spades} up against Guttman's {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}.

The board completely missed both players running out {8-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{3-Spades}{j-Hearts}{9-Clubs} to move Garp up to 35,800 and drop Guttman to 18,700.

With both players still live, we're sure there will be more chapters to this tale, until one of them hits the rail.
