Victor Angelescu and Sergiu Covrig were heads up to the J?K?7? flop, with Covrig leading out for 16,500. Angelescu called to the 7? turn, where Covrig took some time before betting again.

Cosmin was in great position before Shepek found two pair on the 10?3?A? flop. The 4? turn changed nothing, while Shepek needlessly improved on the 10? river to eliminate Cosmin.

At a nearby table, Nick Eastwood lost a flip with pocket jacks and joined his fellow 888poker Stream Team member on the rail.

Cristian Vladut

The pot sat at around 48,000 on the river of a completed board showing 9?10?2?10?7? and action on Cristian Vladut in the small blind. After asking for a count of Dragos Corneliu's stack to his left, Vladut opted to check.

Corneliu took a moment before deciding to check back, with Vladut smirking as he groaned in frustration.

Vladut turned over 10?10? for quad tens to claim the pot, as Corneliu showed 2?2? for a full house.

Eastwood Ready to Make a Run

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Nick Eastwood
Nick Eastwood

Among the Day 1c entrants is 888poker Stream Team member Nick Eastwood. PokerNews caught up with the Twitch streamer to find out how his Main Event experience has differed from 2023.

"I came to Bucharest last year," Eastwood said during the first break of the day. "It went terribly first hand that I sat down, I came with all the good intentions, sat down, had aces against kings against ace-king in the first level."

"First orbit of the opening event and I got one-outed on the turn, and then from there it never really improved."

Eastwood is still going strong this year as play resumes. "Today I'm playing the main, so far, I think I played one hand. I opened aces and everybody folded. So I'm having just a great time."
