Biography

Ian Simpson is a British poker player and 888poker ambassador, having joined the site in May 2022.

He had previously served as an ambassador for Unibet Poker.

In 2012, he finished fourth in the Irish Open Main Event taking home €107,500, before winning the same event the following year for €265,000.

Simpson was a guest on the Life Outside Poker podcast during the 2024 WSOP and talked about first learning poker as a kid, getting a degree in biotechnology and becoming a biology teacher, poker streaming and his breakout year of live poker in 2013.
