JaackMaate and Friends Take on 888poker Pros for $10K in Tag Team Poker
YouTube sensation Jack "JaackMaate" Dean and three of his friends, Jake Ballard, Stevie White, and Sonny Dean, are not known for their poker prowess, but that didn't stop them from taking on a stable of 888poker pros in Tag Team Poker.
Tag Team Poker saw "JaackMaate" and his buddies team up with Nick Eastwood, Vivian Saliba, Ian Simpson, and Josh Manley in a home game of epic proportions, and with a cool $10,000 top prize up for grabs.
Tag Team Poker Pairs
888poker Pros | Amateur Friends |
---|---|
Nick Eastwood | Jack "JaackMaate" Dean |
Vivian Saliba | Jake Ballard |
Ian Simpson | Stevie White |
Josh Manley | Sonny Dean |
Tag Team Poker was played with some additional rules to give JaackMaate and his friends a chance of winning! Those rules are:
- Each player starts with three TAG chips and one VETO chip
- Players can only use a chip before the hole cards are dealt
- Players can win more TAG and VETO chips at the end of each level
- 888poker pros cannot give coaching during or between hands
- 888poker pro players cannot play two consecutive hands after voluntarily putting chips in the pot
Players use their TAG chips to bring their pro teammates to the table, while the VETO chips are used by one team to force a player to change on another. Other than that, Tag Team Poker is a good ol' fashioned four-handed sit & go.
Episode 1
Episode 1 sees each amateur player discover their professional teammate before the action kicks off. The JaackMaate and Eastwood team initially gets off to a flying start before 888poker pros Saliba and Eastwood clash in the biggest pot of the tournament, but who does that colossal pot slide toward?
The episode ends on a cliffhanger, but we're not in the business of giving away spoilers, so you'll have to watch it for yourself to find out!
Episode 2
Episode 2 recaps the previous episode's action before diving straight back into the action. Early on, we discover the answer of whether or not the players can veto a veto, before Manley breaks the golden rule of coaching his teammate at the table. Manley's rule-breaking pays off, as his teammate steals more than his fair share of pots.
Again, the episode finishes on a cliffhanger, with another team potentially heading for the exits.
Episode 3
Following a quick recap of the action, we discover whether Simpson/White survives or becomes the second team eliminated from Tag Team Poker.
One team does bust, sending Tag Team Poker into the heads-up stage. The first hand explodes with Hanley/Dean all-in and at risk, and that is the only one-on-hand required to crown the inaugural Tag Team Poker champions.
