Third SCOOP Title for 2022 WSOP Main Event Champion Espen Jorstad
2022 World Series of Poker Main Event champion Espen Jorstad has made the headlines once again, with his latest marquee moment taking place in the 2024 PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker.
Jorstad was one of 21 players who conquered their respective fields on the virtual felt, finding form ahead of the SCOOP Main Events that kick off this coming Sunday.
Jorstad Claims Top Honors in SCOOP 99-H: $530 Fenomeno HR SE
The Norwegian's battleground this time around was SCOOP 99-H: $530 NLHE [Fenomeno HR SE], where he outlasted 346 other entries to claim his third SCOOP honor as well as the lion's share of the $173,500 prize pool.
His conquest yielded his bankroll a further $32,244, a nice sum to have in the bank ahead of the 2024 WSOP, which is right around the corner.
Notable names like Blaz "Scarmak3r" Zerjav, Matthew "Stumpfed" Stumpf, and Ivan "Negriin" Luca were present when the field convened around one table but their bust outs paved way for Jorstad's success.

Pardo Reels in Sixth SCOOP Victory and $127K Score
Another familiar face added their impressive poker resume, with Juan "Malaka$tyle" Pardo topping the 116-entry field in SCOOP 90-H: $5,200 NLHE [Super Tuesday High Roller]. Along with the $127,128 up top, the biggest prize awarded yesterday, the Spanish maestro secured their sixth SCOOP title after overcoming a star-studded final table.
On the FT, Pedro "pvigar" Garagnani and Pedro "PadiLhA SP" Padilha bowed out in ninth and eighth place, ahead of "drew.derzh" who departed in seventh.
Patrick "pads1161" Leonard banked some more points for Team Lex in the inaugural SCOOP League with his sixth-place finish. It's been a great few weeks for Leonard, who won his eighth title earlier on in the series. Additionally, the Brit is smashing the SCOOP Leaderboards, currently leading the High Leaderboard and sitting in third place Overall. Should Leonard top both tables, he'll be treated to an extra $40,000 in prizes come the end of the series.
The elimination of veteran grinders "Gogac sniper" and "Natrium111" set up three-handed play, where Pardo's compatriot, Vicente "vicenfish" Delgado, exited in third.
Pardo last defeated Canada's "Notmystyle" in heads-up, with the latter collecting the $98,497 silver medal prize.

Double Delight for Dzivielevski
So far this year, only Kelvin "Kelvin_FP:AR" Kerber and the Stumpf could boast about two SCOOP triumphs in the same night. That was until Yuri "theNERDguy" Dzivielevski crashed the party after his Mixed Games heater Wednesday.
The Brazilian sensation first reigned supreme in SCOOP 91-H: $2,100 PLO8, which paid out $36,708 to its victor. The tournament had a $136,000 prize pool, surpassing the $100K guarantee thanks to the 68 entries.
Luminaries such as Denis "aDrENalin710" Strebkov, Niklas "Lena900" Astedt and Joao "Naza114" Vieira also were in attendance for the finale, but could not halt the eventual champion's pursuit of first-place.
Dzivielevski then turned his focus onto SCOOP 97-H: $530 FL Badugi [6-Max], where he tasted glory once more, adding $9,809 to his day's earnings.

PokerStars' Parker Denied in H.O.R.S.E
PokerStars ambassador Parker "tonkaaaa" Talbot may have won his first-ever live tournament at the 2024 Irish Open, but his quest for an elusive SCOOP victory continued after falling at the last hurdle in SCOOP 95-H: $1,050 HORSE.
Fifty-four entries tried their luck in the five-game format that requires a mastery of Hold'em, Omaha Hi-Lo, Razz, Seven Card Stud and Stud Hi-Lo, but only one could prevail.
Fellow Canadian "sandman201" was the player to deny Talbot, who collected the $16,779 windfall as well as SCOOP #3.

Tournier Among Mystery Bounty Chip Leaders
Wednesday is Mystery Bounty day on PokerStars, and three SCOOP editions of the new and exciting format are one step closer to anointing their winners.
The $22 Low edition saw 10,411 entries, making for a $208,220 prize pool. The event awarded a $10,000 top mystery bounty prize, which went to the 805th place finisher "tikidiii". Malta's "vivaodesemprego" leads the pack of 68 survivors and is the runaway leader.
In the Medium Mystery Bounty, which was gatekept with a $109 entry fee, 3,993 entries were recorded. A sizeable $399,300 prize pool was the fruit of all those buy-ins, and the tournament will award $24,402 to the last player standing. Eighty-eight players are still in contention, with "dr0net" currently in pole position. The $30,000 mystery bounty envelope was pulled by Swiss player "traumfinger1".
Another $30,000 Mystery Bounty was up for grabs in the High version, and that went to "dfranco", who ended up as one of the chip leaders after Day 1 dealt its last hand. They've already won more than the $26,667 first-place prize but will, of course, be looking to claim that to sweeten the deal even further.
PokerStars ambassador Laurie "LaliTournier" Tournier is one of the 39 remaining players and also finds herself in the top ten chip counts. Tournier's locked up a respectable $5,738 in bounties already, as well as $870 from the regular prize pool.
