This weeks Sunday Million was by far the biggest in recent weeks as players returned to the virtual felt after their World Series of Poker exploits. A field of 7,603 created a $1,520,600 prize pool that was shared among the top 1,259 finishers.
Everyone at the nine-handed final table locked up $11,938 for their efforts, the sum Brazils Vinicius jason13-2008 Steves banked when his king-queen ran into the ace-queen of zemachess on the turn of a queen-high board.
Canadas sauce3000 lost a coinflip with pocket queens against the ace-king of zemachess before AchoBogdanov caught a ten on the flop to see their ace-ten come from behind to best the ace-jack of vidi.pkr to reduce the player count by one.
Sixth-place went to zemachess who endured a rollercoaster of emotions at the final table. The start of their undoing came courtesy of Crashsite!! after their pocket aces melted the zemachess snowmen (pocket eights). Zemachess then jammed all-in with ace-jack and ran into the ace-king of AchoBogdanov to exit in sixth.
AchoBogdanov then found ace-king again and it flopped an ace to crack the pocket eights of alexos888 to leave only four players in the hunt for the title. The final four became three when Crashsite!! Moved all-in with ace-four and lost to the ace-king of AchoBogdanov.
Heads-up was set when AchoBogdanov continued to send players to the rail. This time the Bulgarian found a pair of kings in the hole in a hand with Januliatko87 who had three-bet all-in with a pair of sevens. A king on the flop left Januliatko87 drawing to running sevens, which never appeared.
Thanks to the run of eliminations, AchoBogdanov held a massive 10-to-1 chip lead over dunny03 going into the heads-up. Dunny03 fought valiantly for five minutes before calling off their chips with pocket sixes when AchoBogdanov set them all in while holding ten-nine. The door card was a nine, no sixes landed on the felt and AchoBogdanov turned their $215 investment into a massive $214,893 score, the largest cash of their career to date.
