Sunday Briefing

The 2018 World Series of Poker may have dragged thousands of poker players to the Nevada desert, but there were still tens of thousands of poker players grinding on PokerStars, partypoker and 888poker on Jun. 10 and some of those grinders helped themselves to massive prizes.

Henrique Bastos galochina10 Coutinho got his hands on online pokers biggest weekly prize when he outlasted a field of 5,490 entrants in the PokerStars Sunday Million. Coutinho came into the final table in the middle of the pack but fought his way to victory to bank $148,292 and almost doubling his lifetime winnings.

miniDanny028 of Russia bust in ninth-place when their pocket queens lost to the ace-jack of ELLA_ELIAS when the latter hit a Broadway straight on the river. They were followed to the rail by Norways Cndale1 whose ace-jack couldnt get there against the pocket tens of It.happ3ns.

The player count was reduced once more when Latvias Romans RovoDice Voitovs, at his third Sunday Million final table, three-bet all-in with a pair of black tens after Andreas mrAndreeew Berggren had opened the betting with ace-king. Berggren called, flopped a king, and sent Voitovs to the sidelines.

Bagelakis23 exited in sixth-place at the hands of Coutinho before Berggrens tens held against a short-stacked shove with ace-deuce from felipebeltra to leave only four players in the hunt for the title.

Those four became three when "ELLA_ELIAS" crashed out after Coutinho flopped a wheel then Berggren ran out of steam when his ace-five of diamonds lost to the black eights in Coutinhos hand when the board four-flushed.

Heads-up saw "It.happ3ns." and Coutinho battle for the victory. Only four hands of one-on-one action took place before Coutinho jammed all-in with king-three and "It.happ3ns." called with a pair of aces. A king on the flop and another on the river was enough for Coutinho to win the hand and therefore the entire tournament.
