Alex Millar

In this week's edition of the Online Railbird Report, which highlights the high-stakes online action at PokerStars, Alex "Kanu7" Millar, who has been the biggest loser two weeks in a row, recovered by finishing as this week's biggest winner.

It came after he banked $160,108 in 2,397 hands over 15 sessions. It was no doubt nice for the UK-based player, but he is still down $561,921 on the year, which is more than twice as much as any other player.

Others who did well this week were "TheFish77" (+$133,734 in 3 sessions/935 hands), Mike "gordo16" Gorodinsky (+$83,670 in 39 sessions/4,350 hands), and "JLlama" (+$80,639 in 19 sessions/1,744 hands).

On the flip side, it was a bad week for Daniel "w00ki3z." Cates, who lost $191,401 in 3,920 hands over 26 sessions. Others who finished in the red were "I_Mr_U_Bean" (-$177,185 in 2 sessions/819 hands), "wilhasha" (-$152,412 in 13 sessions/2,388 hands) and "candela2005" (-$124,870 in 71 sessions/1,188 hands).

"TheFish777" Finishes as Friday's Biggest Winner

On Friday, February 5, "TheFish777" finished as the day's biggest winner after banking $133,700 in 8.5 hours of $100/$200 pot-limit Omaha where he played against the likes of Jason Mercier, Jens "Jeans89" Kyll?nen, and "I_Mr_U_Bean," just to name a few.

According to HighStakesDB, "TheFish777" was up $220,000 at one point, but ultimately ended the match a $174,200, which was whittled down a bit due to later losses.

In one of the biggest hands he played, action was five handed when "TheFish777" ($217,375.55) opened for $700 from the cutoff and "St1ckman" ($16,331.20) three-bet to $2,200 from the big blind. "TheFish777" responded by making it $6,700 and then quickly called when "St1ckman" five-bet all in.

"TheFish777": A?A?J?5?
"St1ckman": K?K?7?6?

It was aces versus kings, and the former held up after the board ran out 3?Q?10?J?9? to give "TheFish777" the $32,762.40 pot.

While "St1ckman" lost that pot, he did manage to win the Friday's biggest pot. It happened at a three-handed table when "St1ckman" ($61,913.14) raised to $700 on the button and Timofey "Trueteller" Kuznetsov ($29,146.03) three-bet to $2,420 from the small blind. "Aron0621" called from the big, "St1ckman" came along, and all three players saw a flop of 8?2?6?. Two checks saw "St1ckman" bet $4,700, Kuznetsov check-raised to $21,475, and "Aron0621" folded. "St1ckman" moved all in and Kuznetsov called off his remaining $5,251.03.

"St1ckman": 8?6?K?4?
Kuznetsov: A?A?9?K?

"St1ckman" flopped good to pull ahead of Kuznetsov's aces, but the latter had outs. The two agreed to run it twice, but neither the Q?K? on the first nor 3?4? on the second helped Kuznetsov, who watched the $65,452.06 pot pushed to "St1ckman."

Millar Gets Revenge on "wilhasha"

As HighStakesDB points out, Miller was a big loser in January courtesy of "wilhasha." Fortunately for him, he was able to recoup some of his money after winning $152,500 on Sunday, which is when the two played nearly 2,400 hands of $100/$200 no-limit hold'em over 6.5 hours.

That was enough to make him the day's biggest winner by a more than 2-1 margin over Gorodinsky, who finished a $70,800 winner. Others who fared well on Sunday were Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky and Mercier, who won $52,200 and $46,600 respectively.

Not surprisingly, Millar was able to win some big pots, though not the day's biggest. Have a look:

Hand #1: Millar ($117,286.84) raised to $460 holding the A?5? and then called when "wilhasha" ($49,996) three-bet to $1,500. The 5?10?6? flop saw Millar call a bet of $1,500 from "wilhasha," and then both players checked the 5? turn.

The 3? river was gin for Millar, who snap-called when "wilhasha" shoved all in for $46,996. Ship the $99,992 pot to Millar.

Hand #2: "wilhasha" ($49,660.20) raised to $600 and was met by a three-bet to $1,680 from Millar ($64,442.12). "wilhasha" then four-bet to $5,000, Millar five-bet to $10,000, and "wilhasha" called to see the 5?9?2? flop. Millar led out for $9,999, "wilhasha" called, and the 8? appeared on the turn. Millar checked, "wilhasha" bet $5,550, and Millar check-raised all in. "wilhasha" called off his remaining $24,111.20 and just like that there was $99,320.40 in the pot.

"wilhasha": K?K?
Millar: 5?5?

Millar got lucky to flop a set, and "wilhasha" needed to catch a king on the river, which was run twice. The 7? on the first didn't do it, and neither did the Q? on the second.

Hand #3: Millar ($51,351.36) raised to $460 with the K?Q?, "wilhasha" ($67,658.52) three-bet to $1,500 holding the J?7?, and "wilhasha" four-bet to $4,200. Not to be outdone, Millar five-bet to $10,000 and "wilhasha" just called to see the 7?2?7? flop.

"wilhasha" bet $6,350, Millar called, and the 9? appeared on the turn. Millar called another bet with his flush draw, this time $15,100, and the K? completed the board on the river. "wilhasha" moved all in and Millar, who missed his flush but paired his king, called off for $20,001.36. "wilhasha" tabled trips and was pushed the $102,902.72 pot.
