Don't Forget -- The MSPT Meskwaki $1,100 Main Event Starts Tomorrow!
Friday, July 24, at 4 p.m. local time, the Mid-States Poker Tour will take to Meskwaki Casino in Tama, Iowa, for the $1,100 Main Event. A guaranteed prize pool of $300,000 will be up for grabs, but once again all signs point to the MSPT surpassing the guarantee and paying out even more money as it so often does.
What's more is that Meskwaki Casino only requires participants to be 18 to play.
The last time the MSPT visited Meskwaki Casino was back in March. A field of 371 entries came out strong, and in the end it was Chad Willett who walked away $96,760 richer after earning the top prize.
Friday will see the cards in the air for Day 1a at 4 p.m. local time, when players will begin the trek through the first 14 levels of action. Saturday's Day 1b will also start at 4 p.m. and play 14 levels. Players who advance from Day 1a are not eligible to play in Day 1b. The remaining players from each flight will combine on Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. and play until a champion is crowned. The Main Event final table will be broadcast live (15-minute delay) with hole cards worldwide on msptpoker.com and PokerNews.
The PokerNews Live Reporting team will be on hand to capture all the action from the MSPT Meskwaki Main Event, and players will have the opportunity to use the MyStack app to update their hands and chip counts straight into the live blog.
