It is that time of week again, the time where we pull out a pair of binoculars and point them in the direction of our UK & Ireland PokerNews site to see what has been going on in that corner of the globe!

The gambling world in the United Kingdom is currently experiencing a complete overhaul of its licensing, something that has seen some poker sites pull out of the UK and others create UK-focused domains. The new bill at the bottom of it all was set to come into force on Oct.1, but was pushed back until Nov. 1, find out why here.

There were some excellent tournament result for players in the UK & Ireland during the past week, with Tom Kitt taking down the 2014 Winamax Poker Open in Dublin and Elior ��Crazy Elior�� Sion and Daniel ��19Dan86�� Rudd banking more than $1.5 million combined after reaching the final table of the PokerStars WCOOP Main Event.

Keeping with online poker, Patrick Leonard was knocked out of the top spot of the UK online poker rankings this week and replaced by one of PokerStars�� Team Online. Leonard had been number one for the past few months and will now have a fight on his hands to return to the top of the talented pile.

Two online poker sites improved their range of games this week. PokerStars added their take on the jackpot sit & go tournaments calling them 'Spin and Go', while partypoker added more Casual Cash Games to its lobby and even reintroduced high stakes no limit Hold��em games.
