The Full Tilt Poker high-stakes cash games have really been dominated recently by two players. The biggest pots of the last few days have no doubt been played between PokerNews Strategy pro Scott "URnotINdanger2" Palmer and Tom "durrrr" Dwan. The two have played both $300/$600 pot-limit Omaha and $300/$600 pot-limit hold'em. The three largest pots were all won by Palmer, each crossing the $200k mark.

Palmer and Dwan Battle

The largest pot came during a hold'em session. Dwan had the button and opened the action with a raise to $1,800. Palmer made it $5,400 to go from the big blind, Dwan called, and the flop came down 9?9?4?. Palmer bet $6,000, but was quickly raised to $16,800 by Dwan. A call from Palmer brought the A? turn card and Palmer checked it over to Dwan. About a half-pot sized bet came from Dwan, $23,600. Palmer called and when the 2? hit the river, he checked. Dwan shoved for his remaining $66,440 and Palmer called with A?Q?. Dwan missed his flush with K?J? and watched the $224,000 pot head Palmer's way.

The next biggest pot came in an Omaha session and once again went Palmer's way. He had the button and raised to $1,800, only to see Dwan make it $5,400 to play from the big blind. Palmer called and the flop ran out K?8?3?. Dwan bet $7,200 and was immediately called, with the 5? following on the turn. Dwan checked this time and Palmer came out firing with $17,400. Dwan's response? A raise to $77,400. Palmer put it in the extra $18,000 he had remaining and Dwan called.

Palmer: K?J?6?3? (top and bottom pair)
Dwan: 10?9?6?4? (multiple straight draws and flush draw)

Dwan needed help, but was unable to find any after two river runs. The 4? fell followed by the 10?, neither pair bringing any help to Dwan. The $215,000 pot went to Palmer.

The bad news for Dwan continued, as the third and final $200k+ pot of the last few days once again featured him as the loser to Palmer. Still playing Omaha, Palmer had the button and raised to $1,800. As is usually the norm in the monster pots, Dwan three-bet to $5,400. What usually does not happen is this. Palmer four-bet to $16,200 and Dwan did him one better, making it $48,600. The six-bet essential shove followed from Palmer for greater than $100,000 and Dwan called all in for another $54,000, making a $206,000 all-in preflop pot that would be run twice!

The hands? Dwan tabled Q?J?10?9? while Palmer turned over A?A?7?4?. Palmer was just greater than 57% to win but when the first flop fell K?J?8?, those numbers changed drastically and made Dwan a 59% favorite. However, the 6? turn card and 3? river card missed Dwan completely and secured the first half for Palmer. The second board ran out J?7?4?2?6?, giving Palmer two pair to Dwan's one and earning Palmer the entire pot.
