The action at the high-stakes tables over at Full Tilt Poker was quite subdued during midweek. The durrrr Challenge between Daniel jungleman12 Cates and Tom durrrr Dwan saw a couple of sessions take place with Dwan narrowing Cates lead to $500,783.50. Besides that, things were all quiet on the virtual front. Ashton theASHMAN103 Griffin emerged as the midweeks biggest winner with $111,723 over six sessions and 795 hands. Phil Ivey was also in action, playing three sessions and 236 hands for a modest profit of $73,456. On the other end of the spectrum, David Benefield dropped just over $100k to become the biggest loser between Tuesday and Thursday.

Griffin Downs Jedlickas Kings

In one hand over at the heads-up $50/$100 pot-limit Omaha tables, Ashton theASHMAN103 Griffin ($43,091.50) was on the button and raised to $330. Niki Jedlicka ($24,599.50) then made it $1,020 from the big blind, Griffin reraised to $3,090, Jedlicka called, and the flop came down 8?J?9?. Surprisingly, both players checked as the 3? appeared on the turn.

At this point, Jedlicka check-called a bet of $5,050 from Griffin and the 2? hit the river. Instead of checking, Jedlicka led out for $13,400 and Griffin called. Jedlicka flipped K?K?7?5? for a pair of kings but discovered he was beaten when Griffin revealed 7?J?A?8? for the winning flush in a pot worth $43,110

Ivey Rivers Flush to Win $60k

On Wednesday, Phil Ivey ($179,989) was facing off against IHateJuice ($125,999.50) at the $1,500/$3,000 fixed limit holdem tables. In one of the more influential hands, Ivey was on the button and raised to $6,000. IHateJuice called and the dynamic duo watched the flop run out 7?9?4h}. IHateJuice checked, Ivey bet $3,000, IHateJuice made it $6,000, Ivey called, and the 2? was put out on the turn.

Ivey called IHateJuices $6,000 bet as the river fell the 2?. IHateJuice bet $6,000 only to have Ivey raise to $12,000. IHateJuice called but mucked after Ivey showed 10?6? for a rivered flush, good enough to take down the $60,000 pot.

Dj Vu for Ivey

Another big hand occurred between Phil Ivey and IHateJuice ($125,999.50) in the same $1,500/$3,000 fixed-limit holdem match. In this particular hand, Ivey ($245,985.50) raised to $6,000 from the button and IHateJuice ($145,999) made the call. It went check, bet, raise, and call on the 7?J?2?, which was followed by the Q? on the turn.

This time it went bet, raise, and call before the 3? fell on the river. After a check, bet, call, Ivey revealed J?10? for a pair of jacks, which was good enough as IHateJuice simply mucked. Although Ivey took down yet another $60,000 pot, he would only finish the midweek $73,456 in the black.
