The highlight of the 2009 World Championship of Online Poker on Day 9 was Event 21, a $215 no-limit Hold'em tournament with re-buys that took just shy of 18 hours to determine a winner. Big names Andy BKiCe Seth and Eric thanksB Froehlich made the final table, but in the end it was a Deutschland battle as the final three players all hailed from Germany. The heads-up duel between Horst Heftig and Soterdelf came to an end just before 8:30 a.m. on the East Coast when on a board of Q?2?6?3?, chip leader Soterdelf put in a reraise all-in with Q?J?. Horst Heftig called all-in with A?8? and came up short when the river card fell the 7?. Soterdelf collected $174,594.68 and the WCOOP bracelet for his efforts.

22, the only fixed-limit Omaha Hi-Lo tournament on the WCOOP schedule. With three
players left, Science held just 5.6% of the chips in play, but he made a furious comeback and ruled all. On the final hand of play, the board read K?4?10?5?. Betting had been capped on the flop, and gudfaren was all in on the turn, holding K?10?9?4?, leading with kings and tens. Science showed A?Q?A?3? and had plenty of outs to a chop or scoop. It was the
J? that landed on the river, making "Science" a Broadway straight and scooping him the pot and the championship bracelet.
