Emami Takes Pot Without Showdown

In a heads-up pot with 5,600 in the middle on a flop showing 
, Amirpasha Emami checked from the big blind over to the cutoff who continued for 2,000. Emami put in a check-raise to 4,000 and the cutoff clicked it back to 9,000, which Emami called.
On the 
turn action slowed down with a check from both players to the 
river. Emami elected to lead out for a small sizing of 1,600 and his opponent went in the tank. After close to 30 seconds, the cutoff made the fold and the pot was sent to the Canadian.
"I only had a five," said the cutoff as Emami collected the pot.
