Moraes Wins Four-Bet Pot
Rafael Moraes opened to 6,000 from early position and was called by a player in late position. The small blind then three-bet to 28,000. After some time, Moraes responded with a four-bet to 45,000. Only after the late position player folded was Moraes informed that he had made an illegal raise and so would be forced to raise to the minimum of 50,000. The small blind went into the tank and eventually decided to just call to generate a large pot prior to the flop being dealt.
The small blind checked after the flop and Moraes continued for 12,000, which, small as it was, got his opponent to fold. "I'm either the best player in the world or the worst," mused the player in the small blind as he watched more than half of his original stack headed Moraes' direction.
